Do you collect autographs?

My first few trips, even as an adult, I collected autographs because I thought they were so unique and interesting to see. Do you collect them? What's the "rarest" one you have?? biggrin

We've gotten a couple of autographs for some old-school characters that we really like. We were excited to get Pinnochio's and Gepetto's autographs.

I do! Well, I don't "collect them," but I do have quite a few. I think it's really fun to see what flourishes the characters use to create their signatures. Like Aladdin has a little lamp next to his name, and Tigger has a little tail (if I remember correctly)...

Heck, it's been a while! I think I'm going to have to get some autographs when I'm there next!

I don't collect autographs, but I do collect "rare" characters if you will. Collect them in the sense that I make a game of trying to find them, and when I do I take a picture with them. The rarer the better.

My last trip, in Jan. 09, in Mickey's Toontown Fair, there was a plethora of them for some reason. We met Gepetto, Marie and Foulfellow to name a few.

Gepetto??! I've never seen him. I'm going to have to go do an image search and see what he looks like.

Is this what he looked like?

That's exactly what he looked like!

And if you notice in your pic, just to Gepetto's left is Stromboli. They were together in January when I met them too.

I don't think I've ever seen them. That's really cool. I wonder if you just have to know where to look or if they're only out rarely?

They've been doing a pinnochio meet and greet at town hall in the Magic Kingdom recently, and I'm pretty sure Gepetto's there.

I was so excited to meet robin hood one time! And tarzan and Jane (back when they were promoting the film). I've seen brer rabbit wandering around Animal Kingdom (not at ALL sure why he's there instead of by Splash Mountain...) and would like to get his autograph. Also, Wendy Darling is one of my favorites... pretty much because I think her costume looks the most comfortable.

laugh Now there's a criteria for picking a favorite character that I hadn't thought of before!

Wendy can sometimes be found in Town Square at the MK early, usually around park opening.

You know, I read back over that and laughed biggrin It's completely true!! She's wearing her "nightgown," from the movie, and she gets to wear the little slippers and it just looks so comfy! Compare that to what Ariel has to wear! Yes. I'm weird. silly

That's good info. Are they gathered somewhere, or is it in the Judge's tent? Also, what time of day? I know I can just ask a CM, but it's good info for planning...

They were gathered outside, just to the left of the Toontown Railroad Station, outside and kind of beyond the Judge's Tent. We were pretty surprised ourselves to see so many characters in a pretty secluded area of the park. There were no announcements made anywhere that we could see, and we also took note at how few CMs there were considering all the characters that were there.

It was probaby around 2PM when we happened upon them.
