brandmaster - yes we were told the same thing when we requested the front on BTMR. So we moved to the back and it was so much better.

We requested the front car on RnRC the first time we went on it. DH used the power of the justmarried pin to get us on the front car. Which he didn't really need to use. However, when the ride ended the CM who welcomed us back let us go through the back door and ride again. This time we didn't ask and we got the front row!

First I'd like to say that these forums are so awesome!! We are planning our first trip to WDW and we are taking our son who will be almost 3 when we go. I was just wondering if there are pins for the first time at disney world so I can get one for him. And if anyone reccommends things for us to do with our son. We are also taking my mother so my husband and I can have some time to ourselves in the parks and to go out to dinner one or two nights. Any reccommendations there?
Thanks in advance and what an AWESOME forum:)

Welcome Smile You can also get those pins at your resort when you check in if you are staying at a Disney resort

PS: I think it might be kinda easy at 9am RD... crossfingers

The font. It goes and moves up above the back row

Yeah... definitely... but any seat really is awesome for it.

I like the front for Soarin and ToT, the back for EE,RnRc and SM, and any where for the rest. I also like the back of the boat on pirates. I don't know why I just enjoy it until the following boat hits you towards the ramp to the exit.

When you get up to the front, just let the cast member know that you want to be in the top row. You may have to wait just a little longer, but they'll be happy to accommodate you.

Done deal! Just when I thought you couldn't get any more helpful Kristen...lol

We'll probably grab a FP right afterwards to get on it again before WS..then we'll take any seat. But the first time I think it'd be awesome if we can get the full-on experience!

If you are staying at a Disney hotel you can tell them before you get there and they will have your first visit pin in your registration package. They did at Saratoga Springs anyway. Enjoy!

I always ask for the front row for Expedition Everest. I love sitting at the top and seeing out onto the whole Disney property! Also, my favorite ride. Worth a few extra minutes wait!

I remember we were seated in at the very front of Thunder Mountain and I was slightly disappointed because you can't see a lot due to the front of the train being in the way. Also, it was quite a tame ride because when you go over a hill, it's quite slow as you're waiting for the rest of the train to catch up... by the time the back of the train is at the top of the hill, you've crawled your way to the bottom.
For this reason, next time I go on Thunder Mountain, I'll be requesting anything but the front!!

After riding ToT four times with our then six year old daughter, we requested the front seat. I explained to the Cast Member how I REALLY wanted the photo, but our kiddo, who was JUST 44", kept getting blocked by hands/people in front of her. Cast Member was very impressed with the kiddo's willingness to keep riding "a big, scary ride" and happily put us up front for the fifth ride. The Photo turned out great!!

Glad to hear about their willingness to help and welcome to WDWFG.

My daughter has been riding tot since she was 3, and absolutely loves it still (she's 15). For a long time it was the only big ride that she could go on.
Glad to hear you finally got a picture!

I like to request the front car of the monorail and sit in there with the driver. Every time I do I end up learning new things about the parks and the monorail system from the CM.

I was told since that monorail accident they don't allow guest up front anymore. Are they allowing it again?

The accident occurred in 2009. Two monorails collided causing the death of one of the drivers.

They do still allow this at DisneyLAND, you can ride both in the front nose or the rear nose. At least you could when we were there in my. My kids were thrilled!
