Done it for the last time...

So last night we were looking at all the new stuff that will be coming soon to Disney, and my son said out of the blue, " I don't want to do Small World again " ....I can see his point as he will be 19 in October next year..And to be honest we have done it every time on all our trips, yet he still wants to do COP..Is there any attraction that you have done for the last time at WDW.?.

My quad by-pass tells me to leave all the coasters and rides like Dinosaur alone, and I listen when it talks.

I'm afraid I won't get to do any more princess M&Gs (with the possible exception of E&A) again my youngest will be 14 and he's getting tired of all the blackmail pics I have sad Like the colonel said Captain EO. Great for the 80s but I'm not there yet LOL

I agree with The Colonel...Done that EO once... eek It's got to be the worse thing I've ever seen at Disney, even worse than Narnia...

I don't know if you've ever done Sounds Dangerous with Drew Carey at DHS, but that was pretty bad too. Sitting in a dark auditorium listening to sound effects. An attraction for blind folks, sure- but not so great for the rest of us.

Spell check almost made that "blond fools" ha ha.

I had no choice in the matter, but my last trip was the last time I'll ride Maelstrom. sad For options that I can control, I'd never do Stitch's Great Escape again. There are much better ways to sit in the air-conditioning for a few minutes.

I'd also never do Sounds Dangerous or the Legend of Jack Sparrow again but they closed anyway awesome

Thankfully the Legend of Jack Sparrow closed but that would have been my big vote. I don't think we'd ever bother with Stitch's Great Escape again. I don't dislike it as much as lots of people, but it's a one and done.

Ohhhhh no wait. My biggest NEVER EVER again is the Tower of Terror. Nope, no thanks! sad

Wow! Different strokes I guess. IRoE is one of my favorite things in the World. I love everything about it including the pre-show music that most people don't even notice. I remember the days when there was Tapestry of Dreams Parade before Illuminations. I found the whole thing magical. I've seen illumination 100 times and I still love it.

Good evening. On behalf of Walt Disney World, the place where dreams come true, we welcome all of you to Epcot and World Showcase. We've gathered here tonight around the fire, as people of all lands have gathered for thousands and thousands of years before us, to share the light and to share a story -- an amazing story, as old as time itself, but still being written. And though each of us has our own individual stories to tell, a true adventure emerges when we bring them all together as one. We hope you enjoy our story tonight: Reflections of Earth.

Gathering around the fire to listen to music, watch fireworks and drink vodka. What's better than that?

I tried to get my daughter to make this her wedding song:

Every evening
Brings an ending
Every day becomes a legacy

Every sunset
Leads to morning
With the promise of opportunity

We can reach for the stars we find along the way
Dreaming as we learn to love everyday

Promise You will take my hand
As tomorrow comes We'll go on

We'll go on
Growing closer through the years
Moving on
Through the good times and the tears
Ever on
Another thousand circles 'round the sun
If two can be as one
We'll go on

There is music
If you listen
In the rhythm of each breath we take

Destinations
Undiscovered
Revelations from every choice we make

And I know
There are diamonds dancin' in the sky
All we have to do Is open our eyes

Promise
We'll walk side by side
As a new day dawns
We'll go on

We'll go on
Growing closer through the years
Moving on
Through the good times and the tears
Ever on
Another thousand circles 'round the sun
A new life has begun
The two of us as one
We'll go on

Moving on
Through the good times and the tears
Ever on
Another thousand circles 'round the sun
A new life has begun
When two of us are one
And we live to keep the promise

We'll go on
Ever on
We'll go on

of course- it's all just opinions. I wish they would freshen it up too. Throw some different color shells in the tubes.

YES!!! the pre-show music!!!! It's not as grand and spectacular (or emotional) as Wishes but it's a great show. And you hit the nail on the head, what better way to enjoy a nightcap than watching fireworks from the country of your choosing??? There are SO many places and views for this show that it really can be different every single time. We sat near Norway in November and all I could see was sky they way were were positioned. I didn't see the globe just the music and the fireworks!

I say EVERY SINGLE TRIP that I will not get on Space Mountain.... then I do, then I feel sick the rest of the day. I mean it, I will never ride it again. (I HOPE)

Must admit, I'm with The Colonel on this 100%...Just to watch it once is all I need..To do a 14 day trip and miss out on Reflections would be a travesty ...A good friend ( Princess Lapu ) gave us these glasses last year, and when you put them on you see all the fireworks shaped like Mickey Ears..The three of us got some weird looks as we kept shouting " Wow that's awesome."... I'll take a photo of them later and post it on here...

Primeval Hurl and Star Tours. Both make me feel like I am going to see my lunch again. I have a huge Star Wars fan, so I hate not being able to go on it. I tried again last year, but I spent the whole ride with my Mickey ears in my hands in case I needed a place to vomit. yuck yuck yuck

My one and done? Hall of Presidents. And the other never again? American Adventure. Sam the Eagle is hanging his head in shame, I am sure.

Astro orbiter. Biggest mistake I made during my winter trip with Robyn. She could attest to that if she weren't busy enjoying Disneyland right now. Never ever ever again.

Defo won't be doing Captain EO again - got suckered into doing it the last two trips...not again!!

I have a small stomach churning issue with Star Tours too, but I keep going back for more. It's to do with one of the frequencies of the ride matching your natural body frequency and sending it into a bit of a spin.

Well and Mission Space, but technically, I didn't quite ride it the first time...
