Hint - If you are driving from north of WDW, take FL 429 off of the FL Turnpike. Exit 8 puts you at the western entrance with NO hassle and hardly any traffic. Much better than driving to I-4 and all the way through Orlando. Just be careful if you are using a mapping app - it gets a little wonky once you get on property.

I totally agree. That's the way we came in last year and it was much easier.
Yep - love that way too. I did I-4 my first year "back" in 2012 until I discovered this route - mainly because I was staying off property. DVC fixed that. 
That's the way we take when we drive down as well. Once we're on property, I'm good to go from there

That's an out of the way route for us coming from 95.
