DVC Member Owners Locker Discount

"The purple place for storing your vacation stuff! Owner's Locker is a service that allows you to store your vacation gear in Orlando and have it delivered to your hotel or resort every time you vacation. No more purchasing (then throwing away) vacation necessities with every trip. Plus - DVC Members can now take 20% off the one-time Owner's Locker membership fee."

The discount available to DVC Members for Owners Locker is really nice, I know a lot of members have an Owners Locker. My husband and I have talked previously about getting one of these, but so far we haven't thought that it would be all that useful to our family since we only travel once or twice a year, and don't always do WDW (sometimes we cruise or do DLR).

Does anyone here have an owners locker? Do you find it's use economical? What do you keep in the locker? What's the biggest benefit to you of keeping a locker?

My Dad and I keep bouncing it around. Some of the stuff we thought about putting in there have been a gaming device (360, PS3, Wii), Keurig, extra clothes, small cameras.... stuff like that. But we just havent done it. The biggest reason is since we always get a washer and dryer... we dont really need to store clothes. Were hardly at our room... only at night, and were usually on our laptops or watching tv... so no need for the gaming. The Keurig id love to have down there.... but over a year ago I gave up caffeine, so no coffee for me. So yeah.... we basically talk ourselves out of it every year.... lol

I've thought about doing this also, but since we drive, we're not restricted to going and getting what we need if we forget something.

I think it would be a great benefit for people that only are able to fly. I'm thinking items to store would be swim gear (rafts, noodles, etc) rain ponchos, umbrellas, coffee maker....

I've had a locker for 2 years! Love the convenience. We keep bandaids, Brita pitcher, ponchos, lanyards, Mickey hands, pool towels, Gin (lol), condiments like sugar, ketchup jars from room service, napkins, paper plates, etc. It's nice to know that we have so many basics available without stopping at Walmart!

I highly recommend it!!!

NHShorty - Do you go once a year, or more often? I think the thing that keeps me from doing it (maybe) is the extra charges for more deliveries. It seems to me thta it can become just as expensive as checking another bag. Also, we don't always to WDW, we also do Disneyland, and sometimes we do DCL. I'm so on the fence about it.
LoL... I'm so wishy washy...
