Favorite Breakfast Spot in the Resorts?

We're heading over to Disney for a daytrip soon, and as you know, we don't have our APs currently. We'd like to have breakfast and then spend some time in DTD. Where should we go for breakfast? What are your top 5? We'd like to start our plan of exploring all the places we haven't been.

So far, I think we've only done character breakfasts - Chef Mickey's and 1900 Park Fare. Where else should we go and why?

Ohana? Or the one in Epcot back in the worlds if your wanting character dining?

Two come to mind. Cape May if you are looking for character breakfast or Kona if not.

That juice sounds like the juice in the Tusker House tastes. I wonder if they could be nearly the same thing.

The DFB compared the two here:

http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2009/05/04/jungle-juice-vs-frunch/

It looks like Jungle Juice at the Tusker house is just Orange, Passion Fruit and Guava Juice and Frunch is Lemonade, Pineapple, Orange and Mango juice with grenadine.

At first I thought you were trying to combine two words to make a word like brunch but couldn't figure out what that word was... Lol

I like the Boma breakfast idea! The Wave has a nice breakfast buffet now, but the kids might think it's boring. Cape May Cafe is a great idea, Scrappy. I love that character breakfast. And I've never been to the 'Ohana character breakfast but I hear good things about that one.

If you don't want to spend big bucks, Captain Cook's at the Poly has Tonga Toast and it's cheaper than it is at Kona!

We got Tonga Toast at Captain Cook's last week (pic) and it was good although you don't get the Strawberry Sauce with it there. I like the Macadamia Nut Pineapple Pancakes that Kona offers.

We always get our Tonga Toast at Kona as well. I'm so glad to see a picture from Captain Cooks! Thanks for posting it! Was it the same other than the sauce?

Omistars - I am STARVING for breakfast and that looks out of this world! I love Captain Cooks. We've never stayed at the Poly, but during our last WDW visit, we decided to get off the monorail there and walk around a bit, and we had lunch at Captain Cooks - really good!

And I'm gonna need some of those pancakes in my life...
