Fireworks from the Polynesian

Where is the best place to watch the fireworks from the Polynesian these days? Is it possible to sit in the hot tub at the feature pool and see them from there? Is sunset point still a good spot even though the bungalows are around it now? Are there any spots where the soundtrack is piped in?

I've got a 5:30 dinner reservation at the Contemporary, but I think I really want to watch the fireworks from the Polynesian.

There is no more Sunset Point Kristen, sorry. The best place is from a balcony in a MK view room. You could try the beach or we like to get a bench out on the boat dock and watch from there. The beach can get really crowed and then you also have screaming kids around. Can't answer about the hot tub.

Really? I thought they had turned it into a garden when they put the bungalows around it. The map looks like there is still a path up there.

I've got one Monday night in a Standard View DVC Studio, so I'm probably going to have a view of the Pago Pago parking lot. laugh

It looks like Wishes is at 10PM that night, so that may be too late for me to be in the pool area. The beach may be my best bet. For the most part I don't mind kids running around, as long as I can cut them out of the pictures. laugh

Here is what it actually looks like. You can't go by any map. There is hardly any rise at all to the Point and it is only a fraction of what it once was. These pictures are from our visit this past January.

How disappointing - I guess I'll be heading to the beach and hope that the kids aren't crazy that night.

We watched from the beach back in mid February and it was better than I expected since construction has been completed on the bungalows. I didn't find them to be too intrusive.

My SIL and I watched them from the Beach just behind the Fiji building last month and there were only about 12 other people out there. It was a great spot! We grabbed a lounge chair and sat back and enjoyed a spectacular view!
