The Enchanted Rose Lounge, which has replaced Mizner's at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa has been having soft openings. Our friends over at the DFB and AllEars.net both posted stories with photos and reviews for the exciting (?) new space.

I have some thoughts after reading through these and other fan site articles. Obviously - I haven't been there myself yet to experience it.
1) The prices are OUTRAGEOUS for some of these cocktails. Granted, some are prepared table side with a story about how the cocktail relates to the Beauty and the Beast tale, using all top shelf, small batch, and custom fresh ingredients. That being said, I'm going to be hard pressed to fork over $15 - $25 per drink. OK, yes I have happily paid $15 in Disney before, my favorite champagne on DCL is $21 per glass. But those have generally been exceptions where I splurged on the high end of the menu. Mizner's had been one of my "go to" Disney bars, and I feel like I've just been priced out of that location. Woe is the polar bear who is afraid of the water.
2) It appears that the Jazz Society is no more? From the pictures I am seeing the band stand has been replaced with a section of "the library." That makes me incredibly sad. The big band and live jazz was one of the things that made this hotel so special to me. But - on the bright side. Since the Jazz band is gone, maybe I don't have to be as sad about being priced out of drinking here.
3) I won't eat most of the things on this seafood heavy menu. Again, woe is me. Yes, you could say I am stupidly picky but the cheese plate and the rib sliders are really all that this lounge menu offers me. Maybe the flatbread if I can order it without mushrooms. Granted, lounge menus are limited in general and if I'm not going to be a regular than I can just pass on the food.
4) I am actually a little disappointed with some of this decor. That enchanted forest room is just sort of boring. The black floral print on the balcony chairs looks really out of place in comparison to the resort of the resort. Like, did they pull the budget half way through the project and just say "Done!"
5) Mizner's could get really crowded and over recent years it had become a challenge to get a seat. The one thing that Enchanted Rose seems to have is LOTS of seating. That's a true positive.
Yes, I will give Enchanted Rose a try. It is literally my job to do so. However - I think I am already disappointed. What are your thoughts? Are you pumped for this new bar and lounge?
