Flights of Wonder in AK

Do they still have the bird show in AK? Can anyone recommend whether or not we should go?

I had never tried it until a few years ago but I was pleasantly surprised, It is a good show although one of the "actors" could be a little corny but in a fun way. If you have a camera bring it along and you could get some great pictures of some of the bigger birds in flight. The whole area is rather small so they do not fly for too far a distance so you will have to be rather quick to focus and shoot.

If I recall correctly, doesn't everyone kind of stand around and jostle for position? I remember that being my biggest complaint.

dsoup if you are referring to standing around before entering the show area there may be someone jostling by some to get in first. But in the actual show arena there are enough seats for everyone that they let in and you are seated during the show. Also the bench's are theater style raised up from front to back.

Good suggestion to bring the camera -- but be sure to have a ziploc bag to put it in when you ride Kali River Rapids! laugh

I have a picture of me all buddied up with a huge bald eagle (right next to my face) from a show like this, but it was at Dollywood. I seem to remember enjoying this at AK, but DW has a similar show so it's a bit hard for me to distinguish the parts I liked between the two.

- Don't know where said picture is, but I have it somewhere...
