Ticket Prices to Increase 8/3/09

Just announced yesterday, an Adult 1 day base ticket will be increased from $75 to $79 and a child ticket will increase from $63 to $68. Prices were last raised in August 2008. Still the best theme park value in Orlando, IMHO... mickey

Absolutely! Costs us more to spend a day at the local six flags (and fastpass isn't free there!)

Also am hearing that annual passholders, starting tomorrow, might get 15 months instead of 12 when they renew!

I always feel like the parks themselves are loss-leaders. They can't make much on the actual ticket unless you buy some food or merchandise while you're in there, or else stay in one of their resorts.

@Brad - you're so right. The level of service that Disney provides can not be matched. We went to Universal once and never went back. The experience had at Universal can be found at just about any theme park around the country...the Disney level of service can not be found anywhere but at a Disney resort.

Thanks for posting the news Millie!

Re: Universal and other parks, we're theme park lovers and DO head to different parks now and again, but that Disney service is something we always miss. muchlove
