Food For Days!

So as we are planning this trip I came to the realization that one of the things I'm most excited for is the food...Sad I know right? waiting Oh well!

Anywho...As this will be my mom and brothers first trip, good dining is a must. So far we have:
Be Our Guest
Boma
Teppan Edo
Tusker House Character Breakfast
Raglan Road

We need one more Epcot restaurant of Downtown Disney. I want something awesome. We'll be on the dining plan so cost isn't a factor, just no Signature Dining. Any feedback on these restaurants or suggestions?

Ah no, not sad at all, that is the most we talk about here is the food!

Look, we're talking about food again! yay laugh

There is a restaurant that is very very good called the Turf Club at SSR, it's not signature, but it should be. The food is excellent and they have the best dessert I ever had at Disney World, chocolate espresso torte with vanilla port wine ice cream and a raspberry sauce that will make you moan and that's all I'm gonna say!

Chocolate Espresso Torte - with raspberry sauce and vanilla port wine ice cream $5.99

I got pictures, ill put one on when I find it.

Vettelover would second this I'm sure!

You can get there very easily from DTD by taking the boat to SSR and the restaurant is right there where you get off.

Be our guest was delicious!
Teppan Edo is also very fun. I don't think the food is fantastic but the experience is fun
We loved brown derby too

In Epcot it's a toss up in our family for Chef de France. And the Norway restraunt both are must for us. We travel only as adults and none are fans of the princeses specifically but we love the experience.

We were not impressed with BOG, but most people really like it. Teppan Edo was good, but we didn't find it to be much different than what we can get at home.

Our "must hit, never miss" restaurant is Ohana. We like to watch Wishes from the beach then go and eat. I realize that this does not fit into your criteria of EPCOT or DTD. This is just one of the meals that we look forward to most during our trips, so I thought I would throw it out there for you.

The other meal we look forward to is Biergarten in Germany. We like the food, the atmosphere and the entertainment. Since you are usually seated with other guests, you get the opportunity to meet and talk to new people.

Yes I certainly do second this choice, to me it is one of the true hidden gems of the Disney Culinary Experience. We always make it a point to eat there a couple of times during each trip, it is simply great and not at all hard to get ADR's for.

I really love coral reef at Epcot. I always tell my daughter the bad fish end up on the plate but I'm a little twisted :/

The high points of our recent mostly Universal vacation were the WDW ADRs. Boma, Ohana, Cape May Cafe. Yum. And while our next trip is barely in the planning stages, I'm already thinking of where to eat and counting down till I can start making ADRs. I've got a two-week span in early December picked out and even though we won't have resort reservations or plane tickets yet, I'm going to make several ADRs at the 180-day mark for both weeks and then cancel the ones for the week we don't go. (Or cancel them all if we can't go at all, crossing fingers and knocking wood that this doesn't happen.)

Whew! What a busy week I had! Thanks for all the food feedback. We finally hit the 180 days so ADR's are being made as we speak! So excited!
