FP + Question...

Ok Folks...Silly question time again..I've charted out my expected park whereabout days, and wrote out my FP+ for them when my 60 day window appears..Here's my silly question..When you book them thro your Disney experience does it give you a reference number.?..I will have them noted in my wee Disney notepad that I always take, but I was wondering if you got something to let you know you've booked them.. confused

No Fergus, they only show up in your MDE, so make a note, take a screen shot on your phone, or iPad if your taking that into the park with you. The wifi is terrible at times, so don't depend in being able to connect to MDE all the time. You get no reference number, you are at the mercy of the band!

Cheers for that...I will be taking my I pad but not to the parks..My DS has his I phone..However now that you've brought it to my attention, I will take photos of my individual card days with FP.+ times....Thanks again.. clapping

this may sound absolutely ridiculous but I did this last year and did use it on several occasions! once i had booked my FP+ reservations I added them to my countdown calendar therefore even if I didn't have wi-fi I always had that to look at - and with it being a countdown i knew exactly how long I had between each

that's my weird fact for the day!

You can always use the fastpass kiosks in the parks as well if you forget your fastpass times. Each park also has a service center that has iPads with the My Disney Experience app that you can also use to check or change your fastpass times as well.

I make up a single-page Word file with a two-column table and a total of eight evenly spaced table cells. Each cell has the itinerary of one day on it, including FastPass+. I then print the page and cut it into eight pieces. Each morning, that day's slip of paper goes into a pocket so I can check times whenever I like.

I'm attaching a screenshot of the page and including the last Word file in case anyone wants to modify it for their use.

Edited to add: sorry, there are actually more than eight table cells since I use blank cells as buffers.

Wow, do you guys really stick that closely to your schedules? I'm a big planner but we almost always end up modifying things the day of. Personally, I love the MDE ap (when it works).

Just from my own anecdotal experience, I find the wi-fi in the parks to be pretty consistent, it's the ap that crashes. I probably go on the internet and pull up the site as much as i open the ap.

I am more the old meets new type. I list our FP times and any ADR times we have under notes on my Iphone. That way I do not have to wait for anything to load on my phone. One push and there it is. I just change them each morning before we head out for the day and we are good to go.

This is pretty much exactly how my notes for the day would look

We've heard (and can anecdotally confirm laugh ) that iPhones on AT&T are one of the least reliable ways to access the MDE app and use Disney parks wifi. Although, last week, I did not experience ANY difficulty with either the app pr the wifi in-park.

DH had a good idea this time. Use the calendar on your phone to record your FP+ and ADR. That way it will even chime at you when it's time for the next event! We'll be using this in the future for sure!!

For our trip the other week, I put all our ADRs in the calendar app on my phone and it buzzed a reminder an hour prior to the reservation time, which was helpful! I actually found the MDE app to work really well in the park, and when we added additional FPs at the kiosks, they showed up almost instantaneously on the app. But I agree sometimes it's just nice to pull a notecard out of your pocket and be done with the searching mickey

We've changed our schedule last minute and either made a pen and ink correction to the schedule tag or just made a point of remembering the change.

Ooooo, I like scrappy's idea - might have to borrow this one. We only had FP+ during our recent January trip and I had no issues with accessing MDE on my iPhone in the parks to check our schedule. But adding to notes or the calendar is a great idea.

Some where on this wonderful site, someone suggested Cozi. The program uploads off my computer and sincs with my calendar as well so I get the buzzer reminder and when we go back to the room and I update anything on the ipad/android tablet, it catches up. So my wonderfully colored spreadsheet just appears on my smartphone. The reason I carry a print out is that in the sunshine it's sometime hard to read the screen. Ah well, for technology upgrades, we give up something else.
