Garden Grocer

Just wondering if anyone has used the Garden Grocer in the past? We are flying this year and I wanted to buy lots of water and maybe some fruit and things to have for the kids to snack on and not have to pay so much for a bottle of water in the park.

Then at least for water... id recommend actually taking it with you. Thats what we did this past trip. We basically had one suitcase and packed it with different snacks, water, and such. Fruit wise... that may be your only option unless you want to risk it and pack it. But I recommend dedicating one suitcase for it. Then you can use that suitcase on the way back for all of your goodies you guys bought! biggrin

With 3 boys I would recomend Garden Grocer, Heck you could pack your whole luggage allowance with snacks and STILL not have ernough room to pack clothes. laugh Another thought would be to MAIL yourself some water and snacks to ease any luggage allowance, I did that a couple of times and opened the shipping boxes carefully and reused them and shipped all my "souvenears" back home.

Agreed -- I think garden grocer is a great idea. I like the suitcase idea, too, but with water, that might go over the weight limit quickly. If you try it, let us know what you think!

Yeah these teenagers can pack away some food. I thought about mailing some to the resort, but my husband works for the post office and he said it would cost me more than the $12 Garden Grocer charges for delivery. I figured what the heck it's worth a shot and I can get some fruit and other snacks and drinks as well.

3 teenage boys? Yes..I agree! I've never used it because we typically drive to the world but I have always heard good things about it. Since you're flying (I assume?) it's your best option. I've heard crazy things like people renting a car and going to Wal-Mart but in my opinion that puts you on the first train to crazytown.

We typically drive as well and normally take groceries or go get anything else we need. I'll let you know how they are for future reference.

I'm happy I came across this thread. I was just trying to figure out how to have my beloved Vitamin Water Zero at WDW without paying $3 for it at the park. I think I will be looking into garden grocer.

gardengrocer.com, they have everything that you could possibly need from the grocery store plus more. I have $90 worth of water, Arnold Palmers, fruit, donuts, coffee, etc. ordered.

I feel so ahead of the game! We used to have those in the summer all the time before they even had a name! LOVE it though...they now have them on the menu at Fridays! Smile
