Gaston's Le Fou Brew..

Ok, I've read about this mock tail at Gaston's Inn..I know it's non alcoholic, but has anyone out there tried it, and if so, what was your verdict.?..I believe it's a concoction of various fruit juices.? confused

I love it!! It's frozen apple juice with a hint of marshmallow I believe. It reminded us of autumn and was refreshing along with a giant cinnamon roll (both MK days we ate breakfast there and split the drink and roll between two people- saved snack credits and it was plenty big enough). That being said, I still think I like the butter beer at Hogsmeade better eek

We had it last September. It was really good, but maybe a little too sweet. After about half, it got to be a bit much to finish. We would have been better off getting 1 and splitting it. But we did enjoy it.

I agree with Jeff that it is definitely on the sweet side. I got one last trip and really liked it but couldn't get through more than half of it before having to give it away to my cousin to finish. The flavor is really good. The frozen apple juice is refreshing with the hint of marshmallow flavoring, yummm! And the foam on top is really good as well, I could probably eat a whole cup of that by itself. I got mine in the souvenir tankard and still use it at home all the time.

Seems to me that people who hated Lefou's Brew really loved butterbeer from what I've heard. Let me put it this way. If you're a fan of apple juice in general, I think you'll appreciate more. I have to agree that the drink is on the sweeter side. Having said that, I enjoyed mine with a pork shank and somehow, they went well together. The pork shank was nice and moist and definitely not overly salty compared to those turkey legs! Honestly, I just bought the brew in a regular cup because I found it hard to justify spending an extra 5 bucks for a special mug!

I really enjoyed it! I bet if you asked them to water it down a bit they would... To cut down the sweetness. I do that with most juices and it helps. Smile

I had one last year on hour 22 of the 24 hour day, that's 4am to save you the math. I really can't remember if it was good... It had been a long day. It was sweet. I got the mug, I use it as a pen pot in the studio. It's no worth buying it it's very cheap looking. I'm a big beauty and the beast fan though. I like apple and marshmallow... I drank it all.

I like apple juice but DON'T like marshmallow! So that one is out, but what is "Butter Beer" and where is this found?

Butterbeer is a drink the Harry Potter books/movies. It can be found at Universal Studios.
