The Goodnight Kiss..

Ok folks..Just before I head off to snoozy land. I remember reading about this kiss at MK but I've yet to witness it..Reason is I've never been in the park at midnight as we are early birds..I think the latest we have been in MK is around 11.30pm..Now all our trips have been in July where MK has late late hours, but October is a different case..So is this " Kiss " still available in October .?....

The Kiss Goodnight isn't at midnight, it first takes place about 30 minutes after the park closes. If the park closes at 10:00 pm, it should happen around 10:30 & 11:00. It usually happens every 30 minutes for about an hour after the park closes. It doesn't happen every night, but it does happen most nights. If you ask a CM at guest services they may be able to tell you if it is going to happen the night you are in MK. There is no guarantee that it will though.

I want to see the blowoff or whatever it's called at Epcot.

Apparently, after the park closes, they purge all the remaining gas out of the lines that feed the inferno barge in one massive fireball. The water in World Showcase Lagoon completely evaporates from it and then they spend the rest of the night refilling it with water for the next day.

Really cool stuff.

If you get the Good Night Kiss and the Blow-Off in the same night, you're very fortunate.

Okay, I am a bit confused. I have never seen the "Kiss Goodnight" but we have closed many parks. What exactly do they do? Announce it, everyone just kisses at set times? Clarification needed pease? confused

If you are really lucky you can grab a goodnight kiss during the Goodnight kiss.

Let me be clear...the kiss goodnight is when they are telling you to have a safe trip home and so we kiss? silly

At Studios they sweep the park after close. Main Entrance cast walk through the park making sure attractions, shops and restrooms are all cleared. Once an area is cleared, they won't allow guests in that area. They start off in the back of the park and work there way up to the front. They don't force anyone out. They just follow the last of the guests up to the front of the park. When the park closes, they play a star is born to say goodnight.
