Magical Express Question...

Just a quick question here..This will be our first time using the ME as all other trips landed at Sanford so next week when I phone to pay the rest of our vacation,it mentions I have to inform the lady that we will be using the ME coach...How do we find out what time it comes back to pick us up on our last day..Do we have to tell them we require the ME to take us back to MCO..?

The resort will tell you the day before what time to have luggage up front for weighing and what time you depart. They always leave quite a large window before flight so be prepared. I think last time they set three hours before flight departure. You can also check in the luggage earlier in the morning and they will hold it for you until you return to catch ME to airport.

Watchmaker we usually get picked up about 4hours before for international flights and they leave a magic envelope on your door the day before - but check your time because one year we had to ring to have it changed because we didn't have a very big window (however I think the confusion that year was because we were flying to another US airport before our big trip across the Atlantic)

on a seperate note have you booked the ME from MCO to your resort??????

We got an e Mail two days ago just to remind us that the vacation needs to be paid by 17th August, and on it, it states you have to inform them that you will be using the ME coach..

just thought on I know oldtink had mentioned about checking in the bags at the hotel but Virgin is not one of the airlines that lets you - I think its just for people travelling within the US and possibly Canada??? we have to take our luggage on the ME with us sad

In the past we gave our cases to the hold at PORS..They put labels on them and give you a ticket..We will do this at WL..I know Virgin has a check in at downtown but to be honest, our cases will not leave our sight..We bought 3 new Samsonite hard cases two years ago ( turquoise blue ) they have power steering (lol) They were on sale at Argos PS149.99 down to PS69.99 each.. eek They have a lifetime guarantee and should have at that price..Combination locks built on them so they act as a safe...My DW nearly flipped her lid when I ordered them..

The resort can hold them but there is a check in desk at all the resorts and that's the bit we cant use!!!

I understand where you are coming from me and my mam have just bought new tripp cases (her's are yellow mine are blue) and as much as we don't really want them to leave our sight we also have 2 massive holdalls to bring extra stuff back with us so we are actually considering the Downtown Disney check in because 2 large cases, 2 holdalls, 2 small cases and 2 handbags is a lot of baggage for 2 people haha!!!!!

Never had a problem with DTD check in through Virgin. If you have your own wheels it means you can spend longer on the final day without having to worry about your cases or the queue for checking in for your flight. You just proceed straight to the TSA queue ..

It is probably worth it for the only joining one queue at the airoporto.Once through to airside it allows time for a good sit down meal prior to the flight (Outback Steakhouse is my recomendation)

That is another pull as I don't eat plane food (picky eater) so think we might end the holiday with a bang!

We flew Easyjet to Spain last year..Was surprised how good our meals were considering it's a budget airline.

Yes, you need to tell Disney that you're taking Magical Express, which way you're taking it (to, from or both) & the airline & flight number for your flight in to Orlando & you're flight departing Olando. If you're flight number &/or airline changes you'll need to let Disney know so that they have the correct information. The day before you leave you'll get an envelope hung on the door handle of your room with a sheet of paper inside telling you when Magical Express is picking up & you'll need to be waiting out in front of the main building where you were dropped off when you arrived 15 minutes before the time stated on the paper. For domestic (within the United States) flights you're picked up about 3 hours before your flight & for international (even Canada & Mexico) pick up is about 4 hours before your flight.
