Groom Trend!

I love this story about new trends for the Groom, so may times you only see wedding stuff for Brides but there's no reason that Groom's can't have fun too!

Are you married? If so, did you do anything fun for your Groom and his Guys? Let me hear your great Groom ideas!

Meh. I read that article and the ironic, nerdy hipster look just leaves me cold. I'm all for personality, fun and casual elegance in wedding attire but jeez - have some respect for your own wedding and dress like a grown-ass man.

(Who, me? Opinionated? Naaaaahhhh.... sarcastic )

I'd love to outfit all our guys in beautiful waistcoats or vests. Once the dancing starts and the jackets and ties come off, they'll still be looking sharp. One big project I've assigned the groom is to find his best man, who suffers from alopecia, a super sharp hat that will go nicely with the suits he's picked out.

Goorin Bros. is a rockin' place for hats. I discovered them while in NOLA, but there's a store in Chicago. Check them out!

I agree with Becks, the hipster suspenders/bow-tie/tweed look is wearing thin. But that little kid knows how to work the camera for sure!

I wore an emerald green dress, so my guy wore a classic tux with an emerald green bow-tie, cummerbund, and converse sneakers. It was fun!

if you're doing a casual wedding I think that look is more than perfect.

We had a big fancy wedding some fun things we did for the guys.

Served Guinness
My garter was a Chicago Bears garter
Craft beer on the trolley
Had WWE theme songs for the guys entrance

Ha - I think we were on the tail end of traditional weddings before the explosion of creativity that came with blogging, so our guys just wore tuxes appropriate for an afternoon wedding, but they looked sharp Smile

We got married this past September and our guys wore traditional suits (we were married in a formal chapel), but to play it down they wore green striped ties, suspenders, and converses. I loved the mix of casual and traditional!

I'm getting married next year, and all I've got to say is "I dont think so!"

We have a woman as the best man and she's going in a woman's cut tux. Groom may do a kilt he hasnt decided yet but we're doing a very formal affair so this will absolutely not be happening at our wedding. It is fine for less formal affairs but not at mine.
