The Modern Vintage Collection

http://disneyweddingsblog.com/guest-bloggers/11541/

The Disney wedding blog is showcasing this new "modern vintage" collection for Brides and their attendants. It's pretty, but I'm not really getting a vintage vibe from it. It's soft and wistful, but vintage? Maybe I'm just too picky about my words, but I don't get the vintage part.

In Groom News, they've posted a "how to tie a bow tie" video! I love that because so many young guys don't realize that you're supposed to be able to tie your tie, not just clip it on!

So tell me guys, do you tie your own ties?

I agree, using the word vintage for these dresses is pushing it. There are a few characteristics that can be associated with vintage dresses (the lace cap sleeves and waist belts) but other than that, I don't see it. Still, very lovely!

I'm not getting the vintage vibe either, and I AM vintage! laugh

The "How to tie a tie" brings back memories of DH and son when he was 16. It was a bonding moment for the two of them.

I can see why they are calling them vintage. I like them.... They are very pretty and classy

I agree, they're very pretty. There are a couple I wish I could buy in something other than white.

While not truly vintage, each of them has a hint of vintage vibe so I'm ok with it. I LOVE the dresses! Super fun and flirty!

My goodness, I remember the days when we had to wear a suit and tie to the office. Ha! I tied my own. Haven't done it in years, but bet I could if I had to.

Muscle memory! I tied one the other day after not wearing one for six months. Amazing what our minds and bodies remember.

They have vintage aspects but arent really vintage.

I considered alfred angelo when looking at dresses a couple of months back, but fell in love with something else entirely. Its WOWZA. It makes me feel like Belle from Beauty and the Beast!
