The Half Way Point Blues

Dopynme was mentioning already starting to feel bad about the trip being over before it even began in this topic which made me think about this. So does anyone else have this issue? When you're about half way through your trip you start feeling like you're on the downward slope and it's just about over. I would definitely say that the first half of the trip is always more fun than the second half for me. What do you guys think?

Zapperz was mentioning this on the Pintiquities thread, too! I wonder if there's some sort of a hypnosis or breathing technique to make it stop. Laughing out loud

I try to make sure some of my favorite things are planned for later in the week. That seems to help me.

We try to "end load" the trip too, but you have to be careful because if you put too much at the end you might be tired out by then. Some others have suggested this too, but changing resorts mid-trip can make it like 2 trips in one so you're just starting your 2nd trip.

Haven't tried staying two different places. I'd like to try that at some point. Don't think I will next time though, as next time I go it will be my first time staying on property.

I do this, too! Then I always have something to "look forward to!"

You definitely want to put something you're really looking forward to on the last day.

We have Epcot, the Food & Wine Festival, and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy on our last day. I'm pretty excited about all three. My wife won't have to worry about the 'HWPB' because the whole week will be full of surprises and fun things for her to look forward to.

What a great end to the trip!
