Who has been to a winetasting, culinary demo, or mixology event, etc, etc, this year? Or better yet, have you done a Kitchen Memories or Party for the Senses? I would LOVE to hear all about these events, and live vicariously through you

I did a wine tasting this year, and frankly was *very* disappointed with it. We paid $12 for three small sips of wine, and a promotional video from the vineyard. There was very little point to the tasting. I think I would have rather just bought myself a nice glass of wine at a marketplace booth or two.
I will be attending a wine seminar tomorrow (that's so cool to say) and Italy Food & Wine Pairing on Saturday.
Oh, the pairings seminar sounds interesting, and like it will have a point!

I enjoyed them both. The pairing wasn't really a seminar, it was more about eating and drinking. It was all good.
