Has Anyone Done Tony's Town Square Recently?

Looks like we're headed down in March and I'll finally get to stay at the Poly for the first time. We haven't been to Tony's in quite a while and I figure I should give it another shot. Has anyone been there in the last year or so?

Ah man, I was hoping you'd be there when we were sometime. Oh well, congrats on doing the Poly. Did you get a Magic Kingdom view?

It;s been a little while since we were there, think a year, but it was very good the last few times.

We ate there last May and thought it was very good. Of course the location can't be beat and eating there during parade time is awesome if you can eat on the patio or have a window seat. I would definitely eat there again and we might try to do a walk up there this year if the we decide to spend one of our free days at MK.

Isn't everything "Lady and the Tramp" themed? Never had the chance to eat here yet.

It is Lady and the Tramp is playing on a TV by the check in station. There is a Lady and the Tramp fountain inside. Its called Tony's because that the name of the Italian restaurant where the famous spaghetti scene takes place. The menu has a picture of Tony from the movie on it. It is very pretty inside could be very romantic.

I have Tony's on my list for ADRs in November. I had an ADR there last November but cancelled it since I was too full from the food and wine pairing.

I love the location and theme, but the food has been "meh" the times we have eaten there. Of course since two of them were watching the MNSSHP parade on the patio we didn't care that much. I think it will just be a plain lunch this time though, so I was curious if anyone could report an improvement in the food.

If you go, you have to have the "Ice Cream Bomb" for dessert

The kids and I did Tony's in October 2010. We won't be going back again unless they change sponsorship and menus. We thought that it was horrible. The food was flavorless, lackluster, dry, burnt, and downright gross.

Service was good, the atmosphere is charming, and the desserts were fantastic, but that doesn't make a good meal.

Good to know. I have been wanting to try Tony's and was trying to convince my husband to go in May but he has read such terrible reviews.

We were there July 2010 which isn't too recent and it was about as good as Chef Boyardee.

Sounds like very different impressions. I'd love to try it at least once, just for the atmosphere and the experience. Has anyone tried lunch over dinner or compared the two?
