Has anyone eaten at Tortuga Tavern in Adventureland?

We keep passing this by when we exit POTC ride. It offers tacos and burritos. Is this any good? We will be there in January so hoping to maybe try it out since it's only open seasonally. Any thoughts? Thank you.

I haven't eaten there and it's open 11am-3pm everyday I think but that can change. Seasonally basically means high crowd season like thanksgiving and Christmas weeks.

They also use it as overflow for Peco's Bill's.

It was open in November when we were in the MK, it's always been closed on our previous trips. We had originally planned to go Peco's but spotted that it was open. Emma loves burritos and said she'd wanted to try it. Queuing at the window it all looks very school diner/cateen looking, but it tasted really good. I would definetly go there again.

It's okay - I didn't think it was anything to be overly excited about.

Over the next few weeks though Tortuga Tavern will be trying out a new buffet menu. That would be worth checking out. I have it on good advice that there will be a story about the new buffet testing coming up on the Disney Food Blog in the next week. Keep your eyes open!

It's good not great, not bad, but it always seem to be a must do for us when it's open. My boys like the taco salad and always seem to load it up past the top.

I love a burrito, even a mediocre one. About Taco Bell quality and that's good enough for me. Add some fire sauce and sour cream and chow down.

Is the taco salad at Pecos Bills's basically the same as the taco salad at Tortuga?

I think the bowl in PBs might be better only because they have a better fixins bar.

Here's the link to DFB's review of the new buffet that's being tested at Tortuga Tavern right now.
