Have you ever made Disney food at home?

They're so nice about giving out the recipes, I figured some of us must have done this. We're not big on the whole cooking thing, so it's not really up our alley. Who's made a Disney dish at home? How'd it turn out?

I have! I'm a big cooker and I love finding new recipes..I have made the Ohana Honey Lime Dressing and the Stuffed French Toast from Kona Cafe.
The trouble with me is that I am a novice cook at best...so I can't really make a lot of disney food because the recipes are very detailed..and well..hard.

Never made anything from a Disney recipe, but I do make items in a similar style sometimes. Made a beautiful insalata caprese last night with tomatoes from our garden, handmade mozzarella, fresh basil, et al. Also made two types of salsa from scratch with our 'matoes, but that's not very Disney-ee.

How do you make the stuffed french toast?! I've always wondered how they get the bananas in there!

The recipe I had said to do this: Cut
a 1-inch pocket in one side of each bread slice. Cut banana in half
crosswise, then split each piece lengthwise. Remove peel and stuff two
pieces of fruit in each pocket of bread; set aside. Mix sugar and cinnamon;
set aside. Mix together well the egg, milk and vanilla.

I haven't made it in awhile..but I don't remember it being too much of a pain.

Link to my husband's blog post and video on how to make Ohana Bread Pudding. Seriously, it's dead on.

aaaaand, here is the video on the Tonga Toast.

Definitely two of the easier Disney dishes. We love getting feedback on these videos.

If it was as difficult as making Raglan Road Bread and butter pudding it wont be for quite some time..WOW that was a lot of work and Im still feeling my arteries clogging..I went thru ALMOST a gallon of heavy cream and a pound of butter to make that...WOW...but man alive was it GOOOODDDD

I bet this is a serious downside of making the food yourself. It becomes hard to kid yourself about just how bad it is for you. Did you make anything else that opened your eyes?
