I'm headed to the 'Anime Central' convention with my girls this weekend. Tori is going in Snow White CosPlay, so I thought I'd post a picture here for the heck of it. We don't have badges this year, so the girls are just doing a bunch of meet -n- greets and hang outs. To pass the time they have decided that they're going to get as many people to take a picture with this pink bunny as possible.

What does "CosPlay" mean?
What does "CosPlay" mean?
"CosPlay" is an abbreviated form of "costume play" with an influence from the Japanese language "kosu pure"
It applies to groups where participants wear costumes and take on a persona to represent a character or idea. It is often applied to works of fiction, including those with semi-historical basis. There are subsets of cosplay - anime, Disney, super hero, star wars, steam punk, specific TV shows, video games and movies. It differs from just wearing a costume by it's more theatrical nature, and that there have been many many social organizations to grow around the different fandoms that participate.
It is an extremely popular activity at fandom conventions.
