Hello, All! Just wanted to introduce myself

My name's Barb, and I'm a newbie. So please be gentle with me. I've been trolling the forums for about a week now, and I finally decided to come out from hiding and introduce myself. I have one very important question:

Can somebody please tell me where I can find a list of the acronyms used on this site?

I've been able to figure out some (like ADR, DW, DH), but most of them just leave me scratching my head wondering what y'all mean. ANY help would be greatly appreciated. Like I said, I'm a newbie. Please be gentle.

Hello Barbara and to WDWForGrownups! Glad you came out of the shadows. Also, if you have any questions about an abbreviation, don't be afraid to ask. Some people do choose at times to make up there own at time, which we frown upon, but it happens from time to time.

Hi Barbara! Welcome to the forum!! The acronyms got me at first, too. Don't worry, you'll get the hang of them in no time. Beware of learning too many acronyms though...they've started to slip into my everyday conversations!!

Now...in response to alicemouse...a little about myself:

I live in Levittown, PA, which is about 20 minutes north of Philadelphia. I am happily married to my best friend, a wonderful man who puts up with my childlike (and often childish) nature. We have no children so when I heard about this site, I had to check it out.

My first trip to Disney was over 40 years ago...a family vacation when I was in 3rd grade. My favorite memory of that trip was The Country Bear Jamboree. I loved it so much that I begged my mom to buy the album. (I'm really showing my age here....yes kids, music used to be put onto vinyl discs called "albums," and you had to actually purchase it and play it on a thing called a "record player." ) I listened to it so much that when I went back to Disney about 20 years later (1993) on my honeymoon, I sang along with the entire show!

In 2000, we went back to Disney with all my in-laws (believe me...there are alot of them). We had so much fun with them that we decided to "Do Disney" (as we call it) every 7 years. Well, my husband and I are the only ones that have stuck to that schedule. We went in 2007, and we've booked a trip for September of this year (our 21st anniversary). We don't go nearly as often as alot of you on this site, but every 7 years, so much has changed, it seems like it's our first time there every time. Plus at my age, my memory ain't what it used to be, so I forget what we did the last time we were there.

Awesome! What a great venue. What a small world... I actually used to work at the Brew Haha across the street. If you're a coffee person I would definitely recommend stopping in for a latte. The best around (and i'm not just being biased).
