Hello new friends!

Thought I should introduce myself since I'm new around here. I am (somewhat obsessively) planning a trip to WDW in September with my boyfriend. It's his first trip ever to WDW, and I haven't been in years, so we're pretty excited! We've been to Disneyland 3 times in the 2+ years we've been dating, and we decided to finally make the trek out to Florida. We are staying at POR, have our ADRs set up, and touring plans set up for our first 3 days (our final 2 days will be a bit more relaxed), tickets for Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween party... I am confident it will be a great time!

I heard about this site from the DFB podcast, and am excited to get to hear thoughts from other grownups who love Disney Smile

Welcome to the best WDW forum around! Great ADRs and I'm a huge fan of both Port Orleans resorts! Can't wait to hear more about your trip!

welcome

POR is a GREAT choice! Love that resort!

Tusker House is our very very favorite Character Breakfast.

And we like San Angel, the atmosphere can't be beat and we like the food. I like it because it reminds me of the Blue Bayou atmosphere at Disneyland, it's just that it is on the boat ride in Mexico instead of Pirates.

I haven't made it to the other restaurants you mentioned, YET! One day.

welcome Rylin! Don't forget to get the refillable resort mug. They're a great value for around the resort.

Hi rylin and welcome!! September is a great time to go, especially since that's when we are going! clapping

We also are taking in MNSSHP - we've been before and know you will have a blast!!

Planning is tons of fun, and your plans and ADRs sound fantastic! You'll be there in no time.

Welcome!! Have you started thinking about costumes for MNSSHP? I was afraid I'd feel a little silly as an adult getting dressed up, but I'm getting really excited about it!!

Also, my fiance and I were just lamenting our decision to be teachers, because chances are we will never make it in September/October. I feel like that is a great time to be down there!

Thank you for the warm welcome, everyone!! Smile

Kris1971- Thank you! We thought the Port Orleans resorts looked beautiful- and I can't wait to take a boat ride to Downtown Disney.

PirateGirl- Thank you! I'm excited for the ADRs. I may or may not have already picked out what I want from most of the menus Smile

WDWfanatic- Thanks! I remember San Angel Inn from when I went with my family when I was younger, and I just thought it was the coolest looking place. Le Cellier was my boyfriend's pick for his birthday meal, and I'm excited to try it out!

pinkflamingotravel- I am definitely getting one! I don't know that I'll be able to handle the time change in the mornings without unlimited coffee Smile

JeffC- I'm super excited for MNSSHP! Looks like a lot of fun. We're going the night we arrive, so I think it'll be a great way to kick things off.

JMUDukz- We are definitely dressing up! I am probably going as young Ellie from Up. Have you decided on a costume yet?

mrhub- I gotta say, I am really enjoying it here already. Everyone is so welcoming!

Kristen K.- Thank you! Only 70 more days... can't wait!

KanineKrunchies- I LOVE your username! Smile And thanks for the welcome. I'm hoping it's a good time for a visit- I know the weather might not be entirely ideal since we're going in early September, but hopefully the lack of crowds makes up for the muggy & hot weather. And fingers crossed the hurricanes stay away!

Vettelover- Thanks for the welcome! I'm very glad they mentioned it- this is quickly becoming my new favorite Disney site.

Yes m'am! I'm going as Belle, which happens to double as my running costume for F&W Fest Half. Blue Belle Shirt, Blue Sparkle Skirt, and a tiara (I know Belle didn't have a tiara when she was provincial Belle in her blue dress, but I'm wearing one just because I can!!).

Welcome rylin! Looking forward to talking Disney with you. I want to do the Halloween party too, but like kaninekrunchies, I am a teacher and can't go during that time. But hey, that's what retirement is for, no? laugh

hahaha I am 23 years old and I am already thinking that is what retirement is for: Food and Wine in Disney haha

Rylin- I like it, too, but it was actually a last ditch effort after trying a ton of usernames that were already taken! haha But I love Dalmatians so this song came to my head--I tried it and it worked! You will have to tell me all about it so I can live vicariously through you!

I LOVED Cars Land. It was honestly better than I could ever have imagined! It was great to walk around and really feel like I was in Radiator Springs. I think we may try to go back in November or December this year- Christmas at Disney just can't be beat! Smile
