Hello...I am introducing myself

Hello all!

My husband and I are planning a trip to Disney World in September and I have been lurking these forums for quite a while and I thought I would introduce myself.

As soon as we got back from our honeymoon I told him that our next trip had to be disney world! This will be our first trip there as adults (both went with our families when we were children) and could not be more excited. It has been a year of planning and saving, but I am sure it will all be worth it.

You all have already proven to be super helpful and I am sure that I will have plenty of questions.

Hello...and...Thanks!

L.

September is a great time to go..especially if you go during Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. It's such a wonderful event!

We are actually not staying in a disney hotel...I am a little bit sad once I started seeing the photos you all were posting of the disney resorts, but the tickets were already bought and paid for. Our resort is on the disney property and supposedly really close to downtown disney (hopefully that will be true) The resort has transportation to the disney parks, but we are renting a car just in case it isn't very reliable.

Since it is just my husband and I, I would love to make some special dinner reservations. So if any of you have a special romantic (without too many children) recommendations I am more than open to suggestions.

We have tickets to La Nouba one night so I would really like a special place in Downtown Disney to eat beforehand, but our guidebook doesn't think any of them are good.

AHHHH I am so excited I can barely stand it.

Hi and welcome, L! Disney is a blast with or without kids silly

I'm partial to CA Grille for something special. That's where I have my birthday dinner reservations in September if we are still able to go. Great food, love the view.

YAY to you!!

Sanaa. If you go for lunch, you can get a great view of the animals, and even dinner is just great.

Welcome!
I would have to suggest Fultons in DTD. The food is great as well as the service. We rarely see any kids there. This could be because they do not accept the dinning plans. If you do not mind driving from dinner to the show I would have to go with the California Grille. That is probably our favorite but Fultons is really good too.

Hi PandL and welcome to WDWFG! I'm scrappys DH. I would definitely say Fulton's if you want to eat in DTD. Great service and food (it is pricey though, but have a few of their martini's, and you wont care). If you can get a table on the front deck outside it's awesome if the weather is nice. Yeah the only down fall is they do not take the dinning plan, but do take Tables in Wonderland and also give discounts for APH and Disney Visa holders. Cali Grill is a definite second recommendation. Its only 10 minutes from DTD by car if you take the back way in, real quick.
