Day 1
We got to the airport and told we had to do full check in cause of hubby's visa. Stood in line for about an hour got to a lovely man who checked us in (with a little difficulty cause of visa, see the pattern here?) and asked us if we wanted extra legroom, we said no as we cant afford it. We then went for breakfast and had a very small wander round the shops before it was time to board. When we go to boarding gate we were called back and our tickets changed, they had moved us so extra legroom seats! Flight was good, unfortunately hubby's headphone didnt work, they had broken in the socket so he couldnt put any in! Didnt tell the man until late cause we didnt think they could do anything but he said he would see what sort of suprise he could do for us and seeing as it was our honeymoon he got us a big bottle of champagne!
Got to customs, i went through no problems and again Sy's visa came into it as he was karted off for more questioning! The questions were 'how long are you staying?' and 'is this your first trip to the US' and then he came back, by which time i had all the cases and was sitting waiting (and panicing!)
Got to car hire desk, had to pay $200 deposit and had all troubles, had to pay cash in the end oh well!
Went to pick up car and the old man in the desk with all the keys looked at the number we were supposed to have and crossed it out and gave us another one..... he gave us a SUBARU 4X4!! Can't believe that! The other car was just the basic - i know cause i went to look! I didnt tell him we were on our honeymoon (though my top might have given it away, it said Mrs Watson on the front and Just Married on the back).
When we got to the hotel the man was in a bit of a bad mood, not really bad just bad in america standards, no smiling etc. I told him we were on on our honeymoon and he didnt really say anything but gave us the keys and off we went...... to our SUITE! He's upgraded us! Our room is massive, big bed, sofa, table & chairs, big LCD tv, Fridge, microwave, sink.... its gorgeous!
We unpacked as much as we could - need more hangers! - and went to wild jacks for dinner. Sy had an amazing steak and i had chicken with BBQ sauce, baacon and cheese on.
Then we fell asleep as soon as our heads touched the pillows.
Now its 6am and ive been up since 5. Hubby was sleeping but he's awake now and we're gonna go down for breakfast soon. Think we're gonna go to Universal today.....
Day 2
Woke up at 5:00am and couldn't get back to sleep, way too excited i think! Went down for breakfast at 7am and had some french toast, now, I've never had it before but i thought i'd try it as if I didn't like it i knew hubby would eat it lol. Well i needn't have worried as it was YUMMY! After brekkie we went back to the room to get ready for our day ahead, we decided to go to Universal Studios on day one as its not a big park and there aren't many 'big' rides there - hubby wouldn't go on Rip Ride Rocket as it was 'too much' for the first day (wuss!!).
Had a few people stop us to say congratulations cause we were wearing Mrs Watson and Mr Watson t-shirts. We had lunch which was pizza for me and chicken strips for hubby (hubby! wow).
We ended up soaking from playing in curious george's playground so then made our way out.
Went back to the hotel, got changed and went to find a supermarket. Bought a few supplies, drinks, few micro snacks (hot pockets), some doritoes and dips and some fresh fruit, came to $35!! Couldn't believe it for what little we had! We decided to go back to drop things off at the hotel but then we were so tired we decided just to have some of the snacks and go to bed. I think i went to sleep about 10 and slept till 7:30am, must have been tired!
Day 3
Got up for breakfast but was very busy down there, had to sit on 2 armchairs and not at a table. Was very disappointed there was no french toast! I had a bagel but there wasn't any butter today for some reason so i had peanut butter on one half but it was so dry i ended up having maple syrup on the second - not healthy but hey i'm on holiday! Went back to our room to get ready to go and off we set for Seaworld. Got there just after opening so we got in very quickly. We did most things but left out manta, atlantis, dolphins and stingrays, i know they're the best bits but we were so tired by that point we decided to go back another day to do them. Saw the shamu show, Dolphin show & Sealion show.
some wonderful pic's! Went to aquatica for an hour or so afterwards to cool off, didnt go on any slides just went in the lazy river for a few times round. Then went back to the hotel for a shower, now we're sitting watching Men In Black on the TV and having a rest before heading to downtown disney for dinner tonight!
...............
Went to DTD for dinner and went to Rainforest cafe for dinner. We shared a starter and had a main each, that's all we could manage (and we didn't even finish that!).
We then had a wander around DTD to take in the atmosphere.
Day 4
Woke up early as i was itching really bad, after posting on here and googling i think it was bed bugs so at 6am we were changing rooms - fun!!! After all that hoohaa we went to have breakfast but it was rather disappointing (again), no butter for the toast or bagels, no jam or peanut butter either so it was honey or cream cheese (of which neither i eat) so came back to room and had pineapple which we had got from walmart and then went back to sleep till about lunchtime lol. When I finally got hubby out of bed (he was so sleepy bless him) we went to IOA, got SOAKED on Popeyes bildge rat barges - went on it twice!
Came back about 6pm and got changed and went out to walmart to buy some more supplies and got hubby some swimming shorts, couldn't get them in the UK. We just got take away for dinner as we went to rainforest cafe the night before and over spent so we were compensating.
Day 5
Woke up early again, couldn't sleep so Skyped my mum back home to say hello. Went down for breakfast and was slightly better than yesterday, they had some vegetable spread in a squeezie, wasn't good but it was alot easier to eat that way (not so dry). Went to Animal Kingdom and got honeymoon badges, everyone was talking to us and saying congratulations, was so lovely! Didn't manage to get the Mr & Mrs ears though, couldn't get any groom ones and I didnt want to wear them without hubby. Our T-shirts went down well though, we both had navy blue tops, Hubby's said 'Hers' and mine said 'His'.
Lion king was amazing, made me really well up!
Wasn't too keen on Everest, the backwards bit in the dark made me feel sick but i get motion sickness anyway.... We were suprised with a free dessert at lunchtime cause we were on our honeymoon, they even told hubby to pick what he would like! We chose a chocolate mousse thing and ate it all himself (i dont like chocolate but didnt mind).
Came back to hotel after parade and just checking emails and hubby has one from his job telling him he no longer has one!! I wont go on about it but less just say things were starting to look up and now they're straight back down again. His boss didn't even have the decency to tell him face to face or even over the phone. Plus he's trying to get away with no notice period to pay! I'm cross because even the day before our wedding he was working his ass for off for the company cause he was so snowed under with work, just goes to show how under appreciated he was! 2 redundancies this year for him now, just not good!
So now we're sat in the room worrying - well he's not but i am! Why is it men dont seem to worry about these things??
Anyway, back from dinner now, we went to Outback on Kirkman road, it was AMAZING, best food we've had here so far and really quite cheap too! Def worth a visit for those coming soon!
Day 6
Woke up late and missed breakfast, so got dressed and went to Macdonalds as its only down the road and on the way out anyway.... Least thats what we reasoned I had a horrible pannini, it had a sauce on it that had herbs in but the herbs had such a strange resemblance to certain small curly hairs - it was really off putting lol!! Anyway we then went to Wet and wild for a few hours, did a few rides, the bubba something or other and a few of the smaller flumes, we'll save the big ones for when its not half term so quieter, I can't stand for long periods so cant wait in queue lines for long. Went back to the hotel to shower and get ready for HHN.... got there in time to do Jimmy Neutrons (which we missed the other day) and then went to get a drink and wait for the park to empty. First we went to Saw as we knew that it would have the longest queues later in the night (we needn't have worried as no queue had over 45 mins in the regular lines and we had express passes so didnt wait more than 10 mins). We did all the shows and houses in 1 night which we were really impressed with - we even managed to go on jaws in the dark! Unfortunately my disability was playing up so Hubby had to push my round in a wheelchair not that he minded - i do though lol. Was funny when we jumped though cause he kept grabbing me!! I liked the way they did the Wolfman, I didn't find any very scary though, thought the scare zones were much better, took a few videos of them including the new one they had just for this week.
Day 7
Woke up early - very strange considering what a late night we had! Went to Golden Corral for breakfast at 8:30. Was really nice but we were a bit pants and only managed to eat 2 plates each - and they were small plates, one of which was fruit! After brekkie we came back to the hotel and fell back to sleep till 1pm hahahaha. Then we got up and went to Celebration - it really is breathtaking & I would reccommend it to anyone. It was lovely looking at all the houses ready for halloween. We stopped at the very very quiet village and had ice cream while sitting on the rocking chairs overlooking the lake, was wonderful. We're hoping to go back to have dinner one day, I read on here that there's a good place to eat but I can't remember where so will do some digging and find out. Its been the hottest day of the holiday today, 93 at one point!! Record highs according to the TV. Too hot to sit in the sun that's for sure. We went to look at Disney's Animal Kingdon lodge afterwards and went inside to have a look around and went out back to see the animals, it was brilliant, the giraffe's were right there being fed! After that we drove along the 192 having a look and now back at the hotel before going out for dinner, we havent decided where yet, possibly Tony Roma's or Hooters.
