The Outline

We're flying out of Heathrow on the 17th September into Miami.

Staying in Miami for 2 nights in The Hampton Inn Coconut Grove

Then off to Orlando for 12 nights, staying in a privately owned villa

Then the parents head home & Sy and I stay for another week in the Sheraton Four Points Studio City.

Leave from Orlando International on the 8th October and head into Gatwick on the 9th.

The Background

Now I know what you're thinking, a holiday with BOTH sets of parents???!! But its fine, we all get along great (for now anyway!). We will only have 1 car between us but we have planned a few days apart and we intend to split up a bit when we go into the parks so hopefully we won't annoy each other too much!

The reason for the trip, it will be our 1st wedding anniversary. We honeymooned in Orlando last year (see trip report called the honeymoon tht almost didn't happen) however the trip didn't really go to plan for many reasons as the title suggests. We had to delay the honeymoon for 3 weeks and this cost us a lot of money that we had saved for spending money. Also on our 3rd day Simon was sent an email making him redundant so it made spending even tighter. We ate at fast food restaurants a lot and did basically no shopping (I found this very hard ). This time, we want to be able to do the things we couldn't do then.

Simon chose our destination for the honeymoon and he was the one who was so desperate to go back, not that I took much persuading! This will be my 8th trip, his 2nd, his parents 1st and my parents 4th.

The Plan

Day one,
Fly from LHR to MIA, get to hotel, check in & go for some dinner somewhere.

Day two,
Miami Duck tour, Boat tour on the everglades & dinner with Jen and James, poss a BBQ at their house on Miami beach

Day three - Our anniversary ,
Check out of hotel and head to Orlando but not before a quick stop at Miami beach. Find DIBB villa and head to Poly for wishes boat cruise, then to DTD rainforest caf�é for dinner.

Day four,
Universal Studios possibly dinner at Tony Roma's for all you can eat ribs

Day five,
IOA and WWOHP

Day six,
Epcot with dinner at Via Napoli!

Day seven,
Clearwater beach and little toot boat trip

Day eight,
Magic Kingdom - getting there for rope drop as never done it before!

Day nine,
Kennedy Space Centre - Robyn and Sian staying in the villa for a chill out day

Day ten,
Hollywood studios with ADR for 50's prime time cafe

Day eleven,
Seaworld - Sian & Bill going to St Augustine for the day.

Day twelve,
Breakfast at chef Mickey's, then Aquatica & some shopping

Day thirteen,
Animal Kingdom

Day fourteen,
Visit to Celebration, Shopping & Halloween horror nights in the evening.

Day fifteen,
Parents leave us to fly home, check out of villa & into Sheraton four points. Swap 7 seat car for a budget car at MCO. Evening, stroll around the boardwalk

Day sixteen,
Typhoon Lagoon during the day and Haunted carriage ride from wilderness lodge at 8:30pm

Day seventeen,
Universal studios and IOA again for a recap and do a few rides again, also a surprise planned at some point this day for simon

Day eighteen,
Magic Kingdom, arrive for 8:45am for KTTK tour! Wishes dessert party in the evening - will be a very long day!

Day nineteen,
Epcot for the food and wine festival

Day twenty,
Blizzard beach, DTD fourm meet with people i know from another disney forum at 3pm, evening poss Disney quest

Day twenty-one,
Busch gardens, Giraffe feeding safari

Day twenty-two,
Come home

So there we have it! Our somewhat detailed pre trip report. There are a few more suprised in store for my hubby (and hopefully there will be a few for me too!)
