I know there's lots of new apps around for the smartphones, but we still end up either checking the times board at the park or just going to the attraction to see what the wait time is! I wonder if we'll ever come into this century!

We still just check the boards or go to the attraction. I have a Blackberry, but it's for work and I'm afraid to download any non-work related apps to it.
Half the time we don't even check the board. We just run to the ride.
We used a couple of the wait time apps and found them to be pretty accurate. Even if they're off by 10 minutes or so, it's still a good tool to use when you're across the park and trying to decide what to do next.

The problem is, even when they tell you the wait time, it doesn't mean that much. We've had rides with a 30 minute wait that was actually about 10 and we've had some where it was 30+ You never can tell!
All of the above for us. Normally use the board, but there have been times we didn't look or care what it said. This trip I'm looking forward to using a wait time app when we need an idea of an attractions wait when we're not close to said attraction.

Well I work for Verizon and WDW and I constantly use the Disney Parks Mobile Magic App, its really good and you can find videos in youtube. Since I work for both companies I was picked for projects such as Kim Possible at Epcot, new cell sites, and most recently the Disney applications for mobile phones. Any questions? Reach out to me.
My other car is a Monorail! "POR FAVOR MANTENGASE ALEJADO DE LAS PUERTAS"

I found the app to be very accurate and show guests how to use it as a GPS while in the park so they are never lost

That's a great point about the GPS. I've been so many times I forget how confusing it was the first times I went.

I just got an email from Disney asking me to sign up for a service where I can check wait times, character greeting times, etc. It's not mobile magic (I don't have Verizon anymore), but it's a Disney service. Seems interesting!
