How long has it been since you've gone to Tough to be a Bug?

I've got to admit, I haven't been to this attraction in YEARS. Was just thinking about it the other day and couldn't imagine WHY. Then I realized that the 3D films rarely get all that much of my attention while I'm at WDW. Are they must-do for anyone else? Which are your favorites?

Ha! I haven't been in a while either! I go so infrequently that i forget when I need to pick my feet up off the ground!

I think my favorite 3D movie is tied between Philharmagic and Muppets. It depends on my mood Smile

It's Tough to be a Bug is an absolute 'must-do' for us every time. It's the best 3D attraction on property with Mickey's Philharmagic coming in at a close second, in my opinion.

I think these two attractions look even better when they are compared to the outdated and tired MuppetVision 3D and Honey I Shrunk the Audience.

I just went this year, actually! I really do like that attraction, especially the windey line that brings you closer and closer to the tree of life.

As for FAVORITE 3D films, I have to vote for philharmagic. It really makes me feel like I'm AT Disney World when I sit down in that theater for the first time each trip.

We went in 2007 but not this trip. I really don't see myself going back, unless I am with a friend who has never done it.

It is cool the first time because of the surprises, but I don't see it as a repeat ride.

I'm not agreeing with her because she's my wife, but Caitie's right. Tough to Be a Bug is all about the surprises, and if you know they're coming it's just not as good. Same as Honey I Shrunk -- if you don't like the mice, you know it's coming, so lift your legs! Given that Philharmagic is nearly perfect - the 3D is amazing, and the "surprise" scares aren't there. It's just thoroughly enjoyable. We do Muppets each time because it's funny, but the 3D is kind of weak in that one -- if they could fix how much it pops out at you, it would be a far better attraction.

That's a good point. I also like the Bean Bunny and Sweetums parts of Muppets, too. Always enjoyable...

I actually think all the 3D shows are very well done, but I tend not to see them very often. We have gone with a other people a few times and I always want to see their responses to them, but I just tend to choose to do other things even though I think they're all great.

This is my favorite 3D show, I look forward to experiencing it with DW since it will be her first time.

Is it complete heresy to admit I've never seen this one?

Maybe it's just me, but I have learned to still enjoy 'surprises' I know are coming, with regard to attractions. Think of all the rides you know by heart. You know exactly when and where that big drop (or whatever thrill) is; but you're still able to get into it. Perhaps it wouldn't be the same if I went on it four dozen more times, but going once a year or less, I still love it.

I tend to agree if they're enjoyable surprises -- I don't find the surprises in ITTBAB all that enjoyable really, so not much re-view appeal there for me...

I've only seen it twice, so this time will be telling.

I've discovered that the ticket is to go every couple of years and forget everything that happens! Then it's all new laugh

I definitely subscribe to the plan to go infrequently, although I'd say it isn't intentional. I just kind of go with the flow each trip and every once in a while you say:

Hey I haven't seen ITTBAB in a while, let's do that!

I think I saw it the last time I was in WDW, in 2007.

That's why it's fun to go without a plan every once in a while awesome
