How Long Using Disney Transportation from AOA to Poly?

My traveling companion and I are arriving at Art of Animation at different times on Thursday. We have a 5:05pm reservation at Ohana that we need to get to. Since I'll arrive first I know that I will have plenty of time to get to dinner. I'm a little more worried about my traveling companion making it there, as this will be his first time navigating WDW Transportation on his own.

How long do you think it will take using the Bus & Monorail to get from the Art of Animation (or Pop Century) to the Polynesian?

I would tell your companion to take a cab Kristen, it would be door to door then.

If Disney transportation is preferrable I would think a bus to MK or Epcot (I think Epcot is closer to AOA & PC) with a connection to the Monorail to the Poly would be a good choice and shouldn't take toooo long......(I know, not really helpful...LOL)

My first thought was Bus to MK and Monorail to the Poly.

However, I completely agree with MrHub that a cab would is probably our best option.

I have this fear that I'm going to be doing Ohana solo.

Car directly to Disney's Polynesian Resort
Estimated Time: 13 minutes

Bus to Magic Kingdom(r) Park
Transfer to Monorail to Disney's Polynesian Resort
Estimated Time: 46 minutes

Cool! I'm going to have him stash his bags with the bellman when he gets to AOA. From this is looks like if he gets in before 4:00 he should be able to make it to dinner on bus/monorail. After 4:00 he should probably hop a cab.
