We have probably all seen that Disney is coming back strong this first fiscal quarter, with profits up 54%. I don't know a lot about Bob Iger, but it seems to me that he and the leadership of Disney have taken some big, big gambles...and it's looking like they're really paying off. The re-do of Disney's California Adventure, the Fantasyland Expansion, the new cruise ships, Disney Jr, the upgrade to Disney Stores - all during a recession. I'm impressed with how things are going for the company. (Aside from the fact that I think that Disney-licensed merchandise is a little too widely available (making it IMHO less "special").)
What are your thoughts? I find that I care more about the financials of this company, since I love it and prefer it. I always seem to be "rooting" for it.
