I FEAR CHANGE! - what do you miss from previous trips that's gone?

When I first went to DW in 2004, I spent hours in the Virgin Megastore at Downtown Disney. Each visit after always included a return to the store, and a hefty bill each time laugh
UNTIL.... Xmas 2010, the store had gone! Wargh! mad I was gutted. It was only a store, but I got so used to going there each visit, it almost felt like losing something from my vacation.

What has changed in your visit to make you feel like that?

They never should have gotten rid of Horizons, major oopsie

And what is the point of having the Wonders of Life building just sit there. Maybe it wasn't the most exciting, but so what, some people liked it. Open it back up.

For me this is such an easy question to answer; THE ADVENTURERS CLUB!

The Timekeeper, Alien Encounter, and the original Journey into Imagination. The new one is just so lame!

Definitely the original Journey into Imagination and I'm still kind of bummed about Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.

Oh my gosh, this question is so hard, there's so much that has come and gone over the years! I'm going to say I most miss the way that the Empress Lily was when I was a little girl. At that time when it was the most posh dining experience at WDW, we would have to dress up to go have brunch. It was always really exciting for me.

I've only been going for the past 8 years or so, so not much has gone away. There are two things, though:

-The chicken curry from ABC Commissary. It was really good! Too bad they replaced it last year.
-Honey I Shrunk The Audience. It was actually my least favorite 3D show, but I think it's soooo much better than Capt. EO.

I like to go to yesterland.com to see all of the things that used to be at Disney World/Disneyland.

Wow, some good ones are listed here! I also miss the Virgin Megastore. We don't have anything like it in my city. The Adventurer's Club and 20,000 Leagues are two other I miss as well!

I was at the Flower and Garden festival on March 7th and they put the circus/photo op area of the Oz garden along the side path that's usually full of roses. My hubby and I go down that tiny detour because no one else ever walks there and it's a romantic 20ft strip of path. So much for that!

I went on the original AE.. it was scary & awesome! It always struck me as a bizarre experience for MK. I bet it would have lasted had they put it at DHS.

I used to depise Stich as well, but it has grown on me a little. They just need to lose the musty smell. I do miss Body Wars. They really need to find something to do in that buidling. I think I miss Mr. Toad's but I bet if I was to ride it today, I probably really wouldn't.

There is construction planned for the building with body wars. I believe they're going to turn it into a special events convention center. Itll be used for food and wine, and flower and garden. It may also be used for weddings.

It already is used for flower and garden demonstrations. I walked through it last year just for memories (not in any way a green thumb), but it ended up just making me a little sad.

Horizons. The original Journey Into Imagination and the old imagination labs....remember the pin table? A germ-a-phobes nightmare, I'm sure, but it was so cool! Mickey's House. and....River Country. sad

For me it is definitely the Skyway carts, a ride that took approximately 5 minutes & ran above Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, and passed over the Cinderella's Golden Carousel tent, & the Grand Prix Raceway.

What a site for those who were exhausted and just wanted to relax & take in the MK.

awesome

I have to agree with everyone that mentioned the skyway ride. It was always cool to just sit there, relax for 5 minutes and glide across the Magic Kingdom. 20,000 Leagues was a favourite back in the day as well. And of course, I miss Pleasure Island.

I think the first time I went, I may have had a full head of hair. I really miss that.

Seriously I miss the AC, The Tapestry Parade and most of the Future World Pavillions.
