I need some suggestions on how to celebrate a special occasion at WDW

Hi

I have read many of your posts about birthdays and cakes, and I have looked at the Disney Flowers site for room surprises, but the right thing just isn't there.
The couple that is going with us will be celebrating their 45th this summer and while they will be celebrating it prior to our trip, we want to put something in their room for when we arrive to mark the year and thank them for coming (we have asked a couple of times, but they always had somewhere else to be). My friend is not a big eater (she is size small and takes clothes in) and her husband is my DH's best friend and co-beer drinker (they call it sampling connoisseurs), but I just can't land on something that would be perfect. Flowers seem silly to me since we are coming off a long summer full of glorious flowers and if we want to appreciate the flowers, we can just go outside.

My DH suggested we just order a bottle of wine and some beer from the garden grocery and lift a glass.

So, my Cyber Disney friends/addicts.....any suggestions?

Are you set of something to leave in their room?

I would probably book a fireworks cruise for all of you and take a lovely bottle of bubbly along.

Probably a bit out of our price range....but the glasses are an idea and we can order the bubbly from Garden Grocers......hmmmmm idea is starting to form. Since this is also a celebration for my husband as he is retiring from teaching this year (I went out last year) I might just order a set of four and all toast the first nite!
Thanks! Open to anything else too!

Thanks for idea Colonel, but i wanted something when we hit the room the first nite to celebrate something poolside or railing side. I actually spoke with the resort directly and he was soooo kind. He said there are wine glasses in the gift store and if I have the bubbly delivered, they will chill it and even put the glasses in the room with the luggage and we just pick up the goodies at check in. If I have some ribbon and a card with me, I think the point will be well done.
