If you could change one thing about a resort...

Wilderness Lodge is one of my favorite resorts, but I just wish the rooms were a tiny bit bigger. They always feel so cramped. Is there one resort you feel would be improved drastically if it was just a little bit different somehow?

I would change the Animal Kingdom Lodge to being a price that I could ever afford!

Sorry, choosing "price" as a thing to change is cheating, isn't it wink

This is very minor but I would change it...the lighting in the bathrooms in the Poly. They seem very dark to me. I do love how they are decorated but they could use a bit brighter lighting. Guys probably do not notice this as much. I probably would not either if it weren't for applying make-up.

I agree with making the WL rooms a bit bigger. The resort is wonderful; that's the only down side.

That's the first thing that comes to my mind as well of course. laugh

Since we can't do price, I wish the AKL was a bit closer to other things. Part of me likes that it's out on its own, but sometimes it can be inconvenient.

I wish POP would have insulated the walls & floors better so you can't hear every toilet in the building flushing while you're lying in bed trying to sleep.

I find that that is the problem with most of the Hotels, Motels that I have stayed in while travelling this great Country.

I agree VL. Particularly places with that kind of layout.

I never really noticed it. Maybe I was just lucky, or am a really heavy sleeper.

I bet most people would sleep through it. It's definitely not a big issue for me. Of course I can sleep through nearly anything.

Just an FYI, there are people who rent their DVC points.
Usually they charge $10 a point.
You can get a night in AKV for 9 points so $90 if you stay in a value room.
So it's really not as far out of reach as people may think.

Some people are even renting their points for $7 so it would be even cheaper.

I see that Daddio has a sponsored banner here on this site.
He rents points for DVC members.
You can check him out by clicking the link from the site so the site owners can get credit for the referral.
His banner is blue with his big head and says David's Disney Vacation Club Rentals.

Back to the topic,
If I could change one thing it would be the parking at Boardwalk and Wildnerness Lodge.
There is a whole city under Disney and I don't understand why they didn't build the resorts over the parking area
like they did in AKV. It's so much more convenient, especially when it's raining and especially since they charge $12
for valet parking now.

There are a few other things but this is my pet peeve.

Was it just too many stops? Or infrequent busses?

I think moderates as a whole have pretty awful bus service! Our experience at POR was just awful..we would rather stay at a value than a mod just for that reason (but we are totally bus people..we don't even look at the car again until we leave).

The one thing I would change is add a one bedroom with a living area and a small kitchen at POR. I love the resort but it is so inconvenient to go to the dining area and microwave your leftovers. I would definately pay extra for this

Jazmine, have you seen the plans for the "Art of Animation", the new value resort they're building? Sounds like you will really enjoy the suites!

The massive resorts like POR and CBR should really give you some options so you don't have to trek to do the dining area.

Hi,

The Polynesian is a great resort but in general it is very dark and hard to see to get around. Maybe it's just me and my poor eyesight.

Or at least a section at several resorts. An adults only pool would be a nice bonus too!

I would add a hot tub to the Polynesian. It's such a little thing and I really don't understand why they haven't done it already. Sure, you can walk down the path and use the one at the Grand Floridian, but that's quite a walk for just a little hot tub time.

No i dont think anything should be "adult only" at Disney, as nice as it might be. That would not be something that Walt would have wanted. He was aiming at the "kid" in all of us, and I think that it should always be that way. It just might ruin things if they started changing that! To me it would just fell wrong!

Only my opinion though!. mickey

My feelings as well, and also you always have the "quiet ' pools that are much quieter if that is what you are after.

Can I change the prices so that I can afford to go more often?

Just the prices for you Tony right? Because if you change them for everyone, and everyone could go more often, imagine how crowded it would be!

Hadn't thought of that one. How about a special discount for WDWFG members.

I would love to see Disney create a pet friendly resort! One where my Willow could stay in the room with us. I'm kind of surprised they haven't done this already considering how many people love to travel with their pets! I know they did just open a "pet resort", but its still a kennel (all be it a glorified one).

Even though POR is my fave moderate resort, POFQ bus system is WAY BETTER!!!! Maybe because it is a smaller resort? All I know is when we stayed at POFQ in May, the longest we had to wait for a bus was 5 min. When we've stayed at POR it was closer to 15 min or longer that a bus would appear.

Frankly, even when you stay at a deluxe the bus system is just a bad. We stayed at WL 2 yrs ago. It was a good 10-15 min before a bus came to the depot to go to Epcot. We were really shocked that it took that long, especially when you are paying more for the deluxe resort. We still loved our stay and took the boat to MK.
