It's Official!!! Whoaboy!!

It's official.. I landed a 1-bedroom Villa at Saratoga Springs resort for 30 April - 07 May 2016. yay awesome

Now to start the planning... yeah

Any tips on where to stay at SSR? I hear Congress Park is really nice and close to Disney Springs.. Any good dining at the Resort? Bus service... Good, Bad or So-So??

Also, Southwest Flights are real cheap right now, so we may fly down as well. This would be the kids first time flying to Disney and experiencing "Magical Disney Express".. I know they'll both love it!! stars

We stayed at Grandstand probably one of the furthest away from main hall BUT is the first pick up point for the buses and drop off too. At busy times you couldn't get on the buses at some of the other stops. You can still walk to DS just that little bit further.

Have a fab time, we only ate at the quick service place but food was good.

Yup The Turf Club all the way!. Congress Park is very nice for walking to Disney Springs. Get it now to before it changes to preferred building and you have to fight for it then.

We ate at the Turf Club last time we were at WDW because of the high recommendations on here and we weren't disappointed. Sat on the back deck as it POURED rain and it was awesome! Food was delicious. I can't speak for anything else about SSR but that.

The food at both the restaurants is pretty good, and Turf Club is probably the most under rated eatery on property, great food and a very comfortable atmosphere.

I usually request Congress Park and then just take the busses from Disney Springs. That remains possible until the new bus terminal is open and then it may not be as big of a plus, but for now it makes the bus easy from there. The view from Congress Park is also fantastic because it looks out on Disney Springs and is stunning at night.

Definitely request Congress Park if you're planning on going to go to Disney Springs. We ate at Turf Club when we stayed there in December and both the food and service were phenomenal.

Congrats on the trip! You'll be getting there the day we leave sad

Allie,

Thanks for the info. and thanks all for your input!! awesome

We're hoping to fly in Friday night and get an early start first thing Saturday at Epcot, so we may run across each other that morning before y'all head out. I'm trying to work the logistics to make it work for a late Fri. departure from New Orleans. We'll see!! crossfingers
