Jeff’s Clock Project

I received this very nice clock for my 25 year anniversary with my employer. But it's sat in its box for 5 years now because it just isn't my style and doesn't match anything we have.

So I decided to transform it into something that fits in with my Disney room/home office.

Here's the original, and the first step in the transformation that I finished yesterday. I painted it purple and am thinking a haunted mansion theme. Next steps are tbd depending on what I can find and make make work. But I'm excited! Anyone ever do anything like this?

And I welcome any suggestions.

That looks great. It's like a cliffhanger where I want to see what it looks like with the face back in.

Thanks Brad! The suspense will kill us all! This was kinda what inspired me to do it. But no wings on mine. At least not yet eek I love the clockface.

I got the clock face figured out and completed today. I like! It looks better in person than I can do with a pic.

Now the question is whether we paint the brass parts (either black or a darker purple) or leave as is...

Loving the clock!! I think you should do an antique rub on the brass.

I went with a black satin finish. Really like! Sorry for the reflection in the glass. I'll try and get a non glarey pic of the face.
