We just did it this past September. We really enjoyed. Although I didn't learn any trivia that I already didn't know, it was fun to see behind the scenes a bit. The best piece of advice ... don't sit in the front row of Pirates when the boat is FULL of adults...it will be FULL on your tour...YOU WILL GET SOAKED. My DH and I didn't dry off until late in the afternoon and we were in the boat around 9:30. My DH's shoes were wet for two days...good thing we had an extra pair.

I knew pretty much all the info already from the Magic Kingdom field guide and other sources. But it was worth it just to see backstage and the utilidor.

We did this tour in April 2012 and we both really enjoyed it. Seeing the backstage areas was very cool. Our lunch was delicious (and included), we got a commemorative pin, and each participant received a bottle of water. Arrive early because if your tour is early enough, you can get into the Magic Kingdom early and wander around Main Street and the Hub while they're practically empty and then watch rope drop from the other side of the gate, a most entertaining new perspective. I knew a fair amount of the trivia offered on the tour, but much of it was brand new to DH and he was just completely amazed. I think this tour is what solidified him as a true Disney fan.

I am really hoping to do this on our October trip, so also interested in reviews. I will be doing it alone as DH will have to look after the children.

Depending on the ages of the children, there are programs that they could attend, so that you both could take the tour.

We have looked into that, but the only thing my children can all do are the activity centres, Neverland Club, Sandcastle Club etc and these are normally from about 4:00pm (ish) to midnight. Or we pay for a private sitter who could take them into the parks, to be honest DH isn't that bothered about KTTK and would rather we use a sitter/kids club for a night out.

We've done this tour twice now, once in 2010 and just this past Friday. We enjoyed it both times and since the guides were different, the information varied some as well. It is very cool to see the backstage areas and the utilidors and you also get to ride Jungle Cruise and HM, which is also a plus. It's a nice way to gain some additional information about WDW and to also get into the park before it opens to the public. Lunch is also a nice touch. awesome

We're planning on taking my sisters on this on our September trip. I know that I'll probably already know a lot of the trivia, but both my DH and sisters probably won't and I'm excited to see it all in person!
