Last time I checked..

I was in South Carolina..not South Dakota.

Was anyone else snowed in today?? We had 5 inches..we were off of school today & tomorrow is already called off. South Carolina cannot handle a mess like this. Even Wal-Mart was closed!

Ha ha ha! 5"! We had 24" in one storm last year and schools were only closed for 1 day. We're supposed to get 8" today, no not going to be snowed in.

Yes! I thought we moved from Minnesota to North Carolina to get away from the snow and cold! Dang! People are looking at me as if it's MY fault, like I brought it with me! EEee!

We had about 6 inches here in Charlotte, and today is all ice. Everything is closed. Joe won't even let me go outside for fear of me falling and and inuring my neck. phooey.... laugh

Oh yeah?? Well, that sunshine will go down soon and THEN what will you have??!! Oh. Nevermind.

Do I sound jealous and bitter? I'm not, really. Um. No.

We had a little bit of snow here, which is a lot for us. The worst part is it's SO COLD.

I don't like your joke! laugh

Seriously, this is getting silly we are off of school AGAIN tomorrow. That's THREE DAYS! According to my calculations we cannot have any more weather days or else this will SERIOUSLY screw up my Disney plans..you hear that weather?!? laugh

SC seriously can't handle this..we don't have snow plows..and I doubt if there is enough rock salt in the entire state to salt the roads. Power is out and we are in an official state of emergency. Really.

I'm glad it's not just the UK that goes to pieces at the first hint of a snowflake.

I'm glad to hear that, Jeff. Smile Bless your heart (and truth be told, I'm a leetle jealous. Although I'd rather be someplace with snow. I don't want it to come here and fry my palm trees.)

Oh Bella - sorry! Yes, it sucks. I once had to take a bus trip from FL back to WV, and a freak snowstorm hit the south. Paralyzed it. We crept and crawled to Charlotte...where we got a WV boy for a driver. And we were FINE from then on. I LAUGHED OUT LOUD - with disdain, I might add - when we lived in GA, and my GA boy hubby insisted on driving us to work when we got 2 inches. I'm like, "Give me that. Move over. You have NO CLUE." I'm pretty sure snowdriving is like bike riding...once you learn, you never forget.

Now...no snow plows...that's too bad. I'd send you some salt, but the stupid PO probably isn't running in SC!

But the important question - did y'all all get the obligatory bread and milk? The good news about milk in a snowstorm power outage vs milk in a hurricane power outage - at least you can leave your milk out by the back door if you lose power!

Thinking of all of you today...

Dallas trying to deal with ice on the roads is always embarrassing. Glad I don't have to commute.

I just read in the news that right now there is snow on the ground in 49 out of 50 states and the ONLY state without snow is our favorite destination state of FL. That is really mind bogling when you think about it. eek

It just seems to keep snowing! We only got about 8 inches last night and maybe 6 last Friday. The storm right after christmas we got about 26 inches though.

I know, right? A coupla friends at home in WV disputed the fact that we were w/out snow, and thought that the snow-less state must be Hawaii. I can only guess that they must have it on their peaks. It's chilly here, but as far as I know, there isn't snow - not even up around JAX or in the panhandle.

I'm in Ontario, Canada, so naturally we have snow. We had about 6 inches yesterday but it is very light and all blew into various sizes of drifts. On my corner lot, the front lawn has 3" of snow and the side lawn managed to accumulate 24"! Of course, most of my sidewalk is at the side of the house so it took me 45 minutes so shovel my property.

Any one here have to shovel for a long time? Or are you lucky enough to have snowblowers?

Bella, I hope you have a snowblower after seeing your picture!

Is it taking breaks between snow storms? I saw that Connecticut was getting buried.

We actually had a snowstorm that would have justified shoveling last year, but I was out of town. Otherwise in the 10+ years I've lived here we've never needed one. (Plenty of salt for the ice is good though)

Haha...luckily tomorrow we are on a two hour delay so we don't have to make those up! Now the major concern is black ice..super.

We did get the milk and bread..this time we felt like we HAD to in case we got stuck..Holden would freak out without his milk.
