Lava Lounge at Rain Forest Cafe'

Didn't know if anyone has been or seen this news spot in Downtown Disney at the Rain Forest Cafe, called Lava Lounge. Looks pretty cool to chill out after a day at the parks or waiting to eat at the Cafe. Anyway, if you have not seen it here is a link with some pictures of it in it.

Also, the volcano apparently now erupts over the Rain Forest Cafe as well.

That's pretty cool! Thanks for posting Eddie. Another great thing to view from SSR too.

I thought so. Yup, that seems to be what others were saying too. Looking forward to checking it out in August.

That looks like so much fun! I don't usually do Rainforest, I wonder if I would like this menu better.

When we were at DTD last week we checked it out. The wait was almost 3 hrs for Rainforest and the Lava lounge was packed, plus we had kids with us. We will check it out again for sure, it looks cool.

I figured it would be packed as it's newer. Hoping wife and I can sneak in one night for a night cap. Usually have no issues getting into places with just the two of us. Especially later in the evenings.

Post up if you do in the next couple of weeks, Mandy. We'll be there the 3rd week of August. Staying on Hotel Plaza Blvd. So I'm sure we'll check it out a few nights after the parks.

Thanks for the link, Eddie! We're headed to Rainforest Cafe in the beginning of August, so we can't wait to check out the Lava Lounge, too! I'll let you know if we make it to the Lounge. The kids are going along on this trip, so we may just peek in. Wink

We never even got near the Rainforest cafe this trip. The crowds at DTD we ridiculous and with the construction, made it that much worse, plus now when you take the boat from SSR it takes you to the West side dock, you have to get off that boat and on another to task you to one by Fultons then get off that and get on another one to get to the market place, that is if you don't want to walk from CIRQUE DU SOLEIL all the way up to Rainforest , which we didn't want to with the crowds. Plus the drunks were walking around with 1 gallon margaritas slamming into everyone. It was a mad house. And not a fun place to be.

mrhub - That stinks for sure. Hate to hear that. We like to wonder over to DTD and just people watch and grab a late night snack from someplace. Hope it's not wall-to-wall people when we go later next month. We'll see.

It's so cool, overlooking the water! Wasn't crowded at all! Looked very calm and relaxing when we peeked in August 2.

Wasn't very impressed with Rainforest Cafe. The menu was meh and the animatronics get old after the 7th time. We did enjoy looking at the fish tanks, though, and our server was fantastic. Even though it was our son's birthday, she never pressed the issue of our buying a dessert, just so he would be sung to. She said, if you want to purchase a dessert, great, if not, just say, and we'll come over and sing. We had our hearts set on Ghirardelli, so we declined dessert, and lo and behold, she came over with her crew, a cupcake with a candle, and they sang him the BD song. All for free! Awesome!

Plus, the new, exploding volcano outside is pretty cool, although it does get mighty hot down near the Lava Lounge which wasn't fun for August in DTD. Ha!! But, way cool! Smile

Have a great trip, Eddie!! Smile

Thanks, Nancy. I'm sure the heat will be an after thought with a few "beverages" at the Lava Lounge silly silly
