I've had the same problem. That and I can't figure out how to get it to register the 'control' key on the Mac.
...not that I spent any time playing that awful game.

I've decided that my keyboard is screwing me. My technique is to hold the shift by the arrow keys with the same hand that's working the arrows, but I think it won't register some of the keys (like M) when I do this.
