Quick question:
What time does it stop working? I've never been on it and I'm planning to take a ride towards the end of the day...
Thanks

I think it starts when the park opens and stops when the park closes, but i have seen it closed before the park does, so it may just depend on demand for rides.
we just rode it on Monday. The sign says every half hour, but I don't recall anything about how early or how late it runs. I know we've been on it at night though. We were trying to figure out if it's on a track or free floating. I think we decided that it's on a track when we felt some bumps, but still not sure.

Julie suffice it to say that it is indeed on tracks.
This is one thing we've never done, but always mean to every time we're int he parks. Maybe next year...
But the paddle wheel is run by a real steam boiler, just like the original boats were.

Is it really? I always assumed it was free floating, other than the (obviously) very tiny space it has to maneuver.

This was fun. My son wanted to go on this. Never rode this before. It was very relaxing and perfect to give your feet a rest. We went on it at around 2pm. Not a lot of seating so get there early and be one of the first on to nab a spot.
