Liberty Tree Tavern vs. 50's Prime Time Cafe

I've decided to add another comparison thread, for the other comparisons so far see:

http://www.wdwforgrownups.com/forum/index.php?tid=327

I was in a discussion recently about the Pot Roast at Liberty Tree Tavern vs. 50's Prime Time. I like both of these restaurants but LTT has become a must-do, while i haven't been visiting 50's Prime Time. Both of these have had a serious downturn for me -- LTT no longer puts the little friend onion strips on the Pot Roast and 50's Prime Time no longer serves their "Herb Cheese" which was 1/2 of the reason I went.

I think both have a good Pot Roast. For me the killer dish at Liberty Tree Tavern is the Fried Cheese. I could eat a ton of that stuff and their Clam Chowder is a favorite as well. 50's Prime Time is fun and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone, but I go to LTT much more often. How about you guys?

We really enjoyed LTT with the characters. I'm concerned it won't be as interesting/fun without them. Dinner there is still great, though--we'll do Thanksgiving dinner any night (as long as we're not doing the cooking or the dishes!)

I think LTT gets the nod for me too. It doesn't bother me all that much that they no longer have characters, though it was always nice to have that option.

50's PT is fun too, though I like the colonial themeing at LTT over the schticky themeing at 50's. 50's is still a must-do though, and even though it's not in my regular rotation, it's definitely someplace that I'll always go back to eventually.

Foodwise, again, LTT wins out for me. The Pilgrim's Feast is a lunchtime favorite.

I think Imagineer hit the nail on the head. LTT is an every trip thing, 50's Prime Time is a must do once and then do every once in a while.

Is there a better milkshake in the MK than at 50's Prime Time?

I can't think of one, but I don't do a lot of the places that might have it. I really like the 50's Prime Time milkshake.

50's prime time is great, I think. I like LTT, but the themeing at 50's is a lot of fun for us.

Hard to beat a location inside the MK too.

I love the LTT for lunch. I love that Toll House Cookie dessert they do. I like 50s but I enjoy the food so much more at LTT.

I didn't even mention the Ooey Gooey Toffee Pie in my pros for LTT. What an oversight!
