One of the only things we don't love about Pop Century is that it doesn't have a gym. Are there any sneaky ways to get a workout in while you're staying at a gym-less resort?

There are circular routes all around the resort for running/walking, swimming pools and plenty of stairs to climb. A bit of imagination should allow cardio workout without a running/stepping/cyclling machine. Finding a substitute for a full weights workout may be tricky at Pop though.
I can only please one person per day. Today isn't your day... tomorrow doesn't look good either.
Brad,
I have the same thoughts. Weights are my big concern. We get a fair amount of sweating in just by walking the parks, but I figure I want some resistance training so some of all those calories go to my muscles. I haven't figured out anything reasonable. Maybe I'll just do some push ups?
Well now I don't think 'old' grown ups even consider these things. Now I'm going on 75 and just this past week had my annual VA physical. It appears I'm in good shape for my age but my cholesterol level is on the high side. The doctor said I could exersize and diet or take some pills. Guess which I chose?

I have to say, I admire the hell out of anyone who can do a workout on TOP of spending the day in the parks! We're thoroughly exhausted by the end of the day - I can't imagine doing a workout on top of that! Of course, like I said in another post - we're pretty much commando all day every day....
Zipadeedoodah -- yeah, man
There are plenty of options for working out sans gym. Easiest that comes to mind is bring some elastic bands for resistance training. You can find all sorts of exercises online to replicate most exercises you would otherwise use free weights or machines for. I like the simple elastic bands, but you could get the fancy ones with handles (usually rubber tubing) if you prefer. Beyond that, there are whole fitness routines (for strength-building, toning, etc.) that do not require weights at all. More than enough to do in your hotel room. Just going to take a little more effort. I would print out some materials before I left so they would be handy when I needed them.

That's a good point. If we actually did the park commando-style, I think we'd be exhausted. As it is, our 2 rides - eat - 2 rides - nap - eat - 2 rides style leaves plenty of room for a work out

We're the same way. We spend most of the middle of the day relaxing in the room, so we could definitely use a workout.
