Maximum Usage of Concierge?

Hey everyone (again lol)..I'll be club level at AKL in July for a romantic trip with my girlfriend. I called itinerary planning a few times to book some ADRs and the sunrise safari and stuff. But I really wanted to ask you two things:

1) What can I expect being club level at AKL, compared to say...a standard non-club level guest at AKL?

2) What can I do/say in order to maximize my usage of concierge/club level benefits?

Thanks!!! awesome

I just feel like I can get a lot more bang for the buck, if we're using concierge/club level to its full potential...ya know?

Well, my first suggestion is to not worry about getting the most "bang for your buck" and just enjoy yourself. It's not really that much different from being a regular guest.

If you're using Magical Express and early online check in, you can expect a concierge to meet you at the bus when you get off. They may be up closer to the entry door, just smile and make eye contact with cast members, they'll find you. They will escort you upstairs, give you your keys and send you on your way to your room.

Be sure to let the concierge know about the proposal happening. I'm not saying that it will, but it could get you some extra magic. There's usually someone at the desk, so sneaking away to tell them (or you can tell them ahead of time) shouldn't be hard. I've never not gotten a gift from AKL when I let them know ahead of time that we're celebrating something special.

Because you're doing your own planning, you don't need the biggest thing that Disney's concierges do, and that's making reservations for you. I never use that service, I like to have control over it myself so I can make changes at my leisure.

Your housekeeping perks will happen automatically, so you don't need to worry about that. You'll have turndown service every night. What that means is that housekeeping will come once in the morning to clean and make the bed, and then again in the evening to spruce up just a little and turn down the bed for you. They'll leave a note card and some chocolates.

For me, the best part is the lounge and the easy access to breakfast early in the morning. We always use the lounge for breakfast, this frees us up a credit on our deluxe dining plan and lets us enjoy more signature (2 credit) dining. We're not at the hotel very much during the day, so we often miss afternoon snacks and the like, but if you're around it's a great perk. Grab soda/beers from the lounge cooler during the day and take them back to your room. They don't have the same beverages in the cooler all day long so grab an extra or two when you see them of things you'll want later. We also sometimes grab extra pastries or fruit and take them back to the room for snacks later. There is no bottled water in the cooler, so you won't be able to get that there.
