It's official: I'm going to the World May 5-12!
If anyone else is traveling at that time and would like to meet up for a drink or meal or something, let me know.

Congratulations on the trip! I think we went on that week last year. We never plan that far out though.
That's a GREAT time to go to WDW!! Where will you be staying?

Fantastic! I love that place and look forward to hearing your report on it.
Any other plans at the moment? I think Flower and Garden is happening at that time, right?

Do we get to suggest what you do, so we can live vicariously?!!?

LOL! Yes, please do help me build my itinerary! I can't promise I'll do everything you suggest, but I think it would be fun to see what the rest of you think I should do since I'm sure you're all far more knowledgeable about the World than I am. Just know that I won't go on any rides that I think might make me throw up. (No Mission Space, and no teacup-type rides that spin you around.) No character meals, I'm not into that.
I'd really like to have dinner at AKL one night (Jiko), so if you know of things I can do at AKL while I'm there, I'd love to hear about it. Are there good places where I can maybe spot some animals?
I also want to have dinner one night at the Polynesian (Kona Cafe) so I can see the torchlighting ceremony (assuming it's still happening) and the electric water pageant from the beach, as well as just touring the grounds.
I really want to see the fireworks at Epcot, since I missed that last time. Other non-park activities I would like to do are resort hop on the monorail and go horseback riding at Ft. Wilderness. Maybe go parasailing somewhere?
Yes, the Flower and Garden Festival happens at that time, so I'm sure I'll get lots of great photos.
This is a solo trip, FYI.

I'm on board. Sounds like a blast to hear from a bunch of people what different days at wdw could look like!
Thinking...
I can't promise I'll do everything you suggest
I think that would be unwise. It would open yourself up to all kinds of bad suggestions.
Hrm...I think she should try to be the first person ever to actually rent one of the little boats in the Coronado Springs "lake"
Okay, new rule: No evil suggestions, people. I know that takes some of the fun out of it, but...
