Meets and greets!

I'm Geordon. I'm not a "Disney Fan" as such, but I am definitely a believer. I have three older kids (youngest is 14), and am married to a true Disney-phile, so I get wind of all sorts of interesting things happening there whether I care or not.

I've been to WDW a scant handful of times, and love EPCOT most of all. The Food and Wine festival was great when I went back in 2011... I can't wait to get back there! Since the kids are older, I have the opportunity to experience the park with more of an adult mindset. and, I get to take it easy, rather than zooming from one attraction to the next (only to wait in line for an hour).

Anyway, just thought I'd pop in and say hello.

Thanks, everybody! Yes, you have most likely seen my name bandied about in a recent trip report, since Kristen is the Disney-phile that I mentioned.

@PirateGirl, thanks for the well wishes. Things are improving day by day.

@Hardy0109 Oh, man. My absolute favorite place is Restaurant Marrakesh, for the lamb shank and mint tea. Close second is the fish and chips with a Stella Artois at Rose & Crown. Absolutely best fried fish that I've ever had.

Losing my ever lovin' mind. But, I figured that I could find out what all the fuss is about with Grownups. Besides, I've sent a number of my coworkers over here, since some are young adults without kids, or older adults with adult children. Time to enjoy WDW as an adult!

I have to say, I really like that aspect of the parks. I raised my kids, and I'd like to have some "us" time now.

Heh, I'm off of school entirely for another 3 weeks and I've been off of work for one reason and another for the better part of a month. I'm going stir crazy. But I start EMT class the evening of Aug 19, and things are healing decently. Follow up with the doc on Friday, and hopefully cleared back to work next week. I'm so over being laid up.

Holy cow, where has the time gone? It doesn't seem like 15 years. Unless it's that I'm getting old...
