Growing up in Punxsutawney, Groundhog Day is near and dear to my heart. I surf the web at work looking for Phil's prediction. I print it and hang it outside my cube wall. On top of the wall, I display my Punxsy Phil beanie baby.

I've been to New Orleans for Mardi Gras 3 times and it's a great time. I can stand outside all day watching the parades. New Orleans is one of my favorite cities. When I'm not in NOLA celebrating I wear my beads to work. Sometimes I get looks from people wondering how I got the beads. LOL

I've always wanted to visit Budapest. I've seen pictures of the city, and it looks absolutely beautiful. My desire to go there was deeper than that, but I couldn't pinpoint why exactly I wanted to visit.

One day a couple of years ago I was talking to my mom about her family history. I had been doing research on Ancestry.com on my dad's family which I know more about. My mom found her mom's birth certificate. My mom's maternal grandfather was born in Hungary (it was Austria-Hungary at the time). I knew that was that was the connection of why I wanted to go there. I was always told my maternal grandmother was Polish and Ukranian. My grandmother spoke Russian when she was younger. I never knew there was a Hunagry connection until her birth certificate was found.

I do like the movie. It's a bit of a touchy subject for people who still live there since it wasn't filmed there. It was filmed in Minnesota I think. Some people haven't gotten over that. LOL

SERIOUSLY!!??! OMG I am not alone!! YAY!

Did you have as much trouble in grade school trying to use right-handed scissors, or were you able to adapt?

What's the best way to enjoy a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup?

One more: I lived in PA for about 20 years and never knew why it was called the Keystone State. Do you know? I could Google it, but this is more fun Smile

My first thought on the scissors question was "seriously you expect me to remember something from grade school?" Then it hit me, apparently I adapted since I use my right with scissors today.

And on to the Reese's question... if I'm really hungry when I eat one I just stick the whole thing in my mouth. TMI???

I tend to bite it in half and enjoy the chocolately / peanut buttery goodness and then eat the other half.

My friend asked me that a couple of weeks ago. I'm sure I knew it when I was younger but I totally forgot. I had been meaning to look it up. I'm glad you asked me.

Apparently, no one knows for sure. There are a few theories in the link attached. That's probably why I couldn't remember since there wasn't really an answer.

Question #1 - I have been going with friends. I go down earlier so I have a couple of solo days before they arrive. My first two trips were with family. That was when dad still paid for the trip. Smile

Question #2 -
Liberty Tree Tavern - Pilgrim's Feast for the entree. I don't really have a favorite dessert here yet. The last two years I've had different desserts and neither sticks out as a favorite. I'll try another one this year. Maybe we'll have a winner then.

Hollywood Brown Derby - Pork tenderloin is my favorite entree and Grapefruit cake is my favorite dessert. I also love their cobb salad.

Question #3 - I would have to say my favorite memory is first time I met Mickey Mouse. It was in the days when the characters walked around the park. I was in second grade. I remember turning around and see Mickey behind us and running up to him and giving him a big hug.

I've got to say Epcot. I love World Showcase and seeing the movies of the different countries and learning about their cultures. Let's not forget about all the great restaurants.

Do you shop while you are in Disney? If so, is there one item you like to collect or do you just buy whatever grabs your attention?

I browse through the gift shops. I collect shot glasses and magnets so I'm always on the lookout. I'll pick up a gift or two for others. I usually end up spending more others than I do myself.

I'll take a picture of my shot glass collection. I have to dust first. LOL

The magnets are scattered all over my refridgerator. I'll get some shots of those too.

If I worked in a park, it would have to be a job that was inside with air conditioning. I wouldn't want to work outside in the sun, heat and humidity in the summer. Maybe in one of the gift shops.

My ideal job for Disney would be working for reservations and helping people plan their magical vacations.
