Mini fridges at Value resorts

I read somewhere a while ago that mini fridges were now standard in the rooms at Value Resorts. However, I can't remember where I read it or if it was even an official Disney site, but the actual Disney site doesn't say anything about there being a fridge in the room (unless requested).
Has anyone stayed at a Value recently and was there a fridge? We are planning on staying at All Star Movies in the fall and a fridge would be great mickey
Does anyone know how much they charge to get one?

They had them at Pop when I was there in November. I think they were added at all value resorts.

We had one comped @pop last year because we had a toddler. Otherwise it was 10 bucks a day. Which is crazy since those little fridges only cost about 100. Retail. Sure hope that has changed.

I will be at AllStar Music in about 2 weeks. I'll let you know if we have a mini fridge! (That would be nice!) Smile

You should have them, all rooms have reportedly been equiped with them. However their capacity is quite limited.

Here's the fridge from our Art of Animation room, it comes standard and lives under the TV.

The refrigerators at Pop live under the TV too.

We stayed at AllStar movies last August and just got back from a stay at Pop Century. Mini fridges were standard on both stays. The one at All Star Movies did not work very well. If we had been using it more I would have complained and ask for a different one.

Hey Mike, what you have to do is pull the fridge all the way out so you can get to the back of the fridge. The temperature control on all the new fridges is on the back of the fridge. I pull ours out first thing all the time and turn it up to like 4 and they work fine then. If the fridge is on a cabinet with doors on it like at the Poly, keep one of the cabinet doors partially open with something to let air circulate around the fridge so the compressor can cool down. I have no idea why they put those small fridges in closed cabinets. An make sure the door is always closing all the way. They tend too hang up on the hinges.

Spook, check inside first to see how cold it is and if the adjustment knob is inside, if it's not it's on the back. A very few have the on the bottom. If you set it to high you might start freezing things.

Good call. Last trip we stayed at POR and we didn't think the fridge was all that cold until we took out a salad and it was frozen. We turned it down after that!
